We arrived in Germany several hours later. It was 3am here and even though I had slept on our way here, I was tired. "Fury booked us three rooms in a hotel in Munich.", Sam said.
We took our luggage and took a taxi to the hotel. After Steve payed the driver, we entered the hotel, got the keys to our rooms and went our separate ways.
"We'll meet down here at 8am." Steve decided and Sam and I nodded. After I took a shower in my room and changed into my pajamas I texted Nat, telling her we arrived.
"Alright, love. Get some rest and text me when you wake up. Good night." she texted me. I smiled at myself before answering with an "okay, good night.".
I only got about 3 hours of sleep since I had to wake up at 7am to get ready. I took a shower, changed into my suit and ate breakfast. "Just woke up, mission starts soon. I will text you when I'm back." I texted Nat.
I didn't get a response considering the time difference. It was about 2am in New York right now, so she was probably asleep. I checked my weapons and went down to the lobby.
Sam was already there and waited for Steve and I. "Hey." I greeted him. "Hey." he answered smiling. "Where's Steve?" I asked but Sam shrugged.
It was silent for a moment, "Hey, uhm, I know we don't really know each other but this is a team mission so I want to be sure we have each other's backs." I said.
He nodded slightly. "Once this mission is done, we need to get to know one another better. But for now: I promise we will have each other's back." he answered.
I smiled at him and he returned my smile. "Hey, sorry, I couldn't find my shield." Steve apologized and I chuckled. "Captain America lost his shield?" I laughed. (*cries in tfaws*)
Steve rolled his eyes and Sam grinned. Steve motioned us to follow him and we obeyed. A black van was waiting outside the hotel. It brought us to an abandoned airport next to a forrest.
"The Hydra base is located about 1 Mile from here. You need to walk there. There's a big building, we don't know its security status." a man informed us.
I sighed. Steve, Sam and I made our way through the forrest until we could see the Hydra basis. It was a huge building in the middle of knowhere but it didn't seem to have a high security status.
"This building has way less security than I expected." Sam mumbled. "Yeah. Nat told me a lot about Hydra and this isn't how I imagined a Hydra basis to look like." I said.
"Let's go, we need to move forward." Steve ordered. Sam and I shared a glance until we followed Steve. "Should we split up or stay together?" I asked.
"I wouldn't recommend splitting up. If you get hurt we can't help you." Sam commented. "Who said I would be the one to get hurt?" I asked offended.
"I didn't mean it like that." Sam said and looked at me. I rolled my eyes. The Hydra basis was now about 100 feet ahead of us. I still couldn't see any security.
"Something's wrong here." I mumbled. Suddenly I could hear a bang and I heard Sam grunting next to me. I looked over at him and saw that he had a grazing shot.
"Sam." I called. He looked at me and held his thumb up as we hid behind some trees. I took my gun out and looked around slightly. There were three men on my right and five on my left ahead of us.
I had borrowed a bow and six arrows from Clint. While Steve made sure Sam was okay, I climbed up the tree silently to get a better look at our enemies.
All of them had guns and walked towards our location. I loaded my gun and shot the three on my right, making the five on my left run towards us.
I took out my bow and arrows and shot two of them. The other three were too close. "Steve, there are three men coming out direction." I informed.
Steve and Sam got ready to fight and once our enemies arrived, they knocked them out. I nodded at them and we continued our way to the basis.
We didn't get attacked until we reached the basis. "Okay, let's split up." Sam suggested. "Didn't you tell me earlier that was a bad idea?" I asked.
"That was until I saw you can defend yourself pretty well on your own." he admitted. "Other than you." I mumbled before going right. Steve and Sam went left.
I couldn't find anything interesting or suspicious. In fact I didn't even find people here. That was until a man in a brown suit stood in front of me.
"You must be Widow's girlfriend." he grinned. "You shot her." I said angrily. "Wasn't as hard as one might think. Did she die?" he asked and pretended to care.
"No, she didn't." I answered. "Oh, what a shame." he said. I looked at him angrily before charging at him. My training lessons with Nat really helped.
We fought for quite some time until he tried to swipe my legs with his foot but I jumped in the air and pinned him down. I pointed my gun at him.
"Why did you try to kill her?" I asked. "She's THE Black Widow. If I would have killed her everyone that's part of Hydra would have loved and congratulated me. It was just a means to an end." he said.
I looked at him angrily before I shot him in the head. "I shot the man that tried to kill Nat. Let's leave." I spoke in my ear-peace. "We just took down the last man. We'll meet you outside."
