Prepare for this chapter as it is a little bit... negative... >:)
Barry was looking at all of the fallen bus metas. He rubbed his eyes getting rid of the tears, he had failed every single one of them. Devoe had beaten them again, they took away a valuable member of our team, Ralph.
"We were supposed to save them," Barry murmured to Alura as she walked into the Cortex.
"We tried, son," Joe told Barry.
"We failed," Cisco said.
"I know this wasn't the ending we were expecting, I-I had no knowledge of this ever happening, I'm sorry that I could not help more," Alura told all of them.
A breach opened in the Cortex, Kara walked out with a happy face, but her smile turned to a frown when she saw the whole team.
"What's wrong Barry?" Kara asked worriedly.
"I failed, I failed all of them Kara," Barry murmured, looking at her with tears streaming down his face.
Kara's heart broke when she saw Barry like that, she opened her arms, Barry ran straight into them. Barry buried his head in the crook of her neck, Caitlin let herself cry too, she also lost someone close to her, Frost had gone completely silent. All she felt in her mind was static, there was no one there but herself.
"We're gonna head back to the loft, I'll see you in the morning guys," Barry told them, wiping his eyes. Kara squeezed his hand assuringly.
The group prepared to walk out of the Cortex when Barry stopped and turned around, he saw that Alura didn't follow them out.
"Alura, are you coming?" Barry asked her.
Alura just looked at him with pure guilt and utter shock.
"Alura?" Kara asked softly for her attention.
"Do you want to tell us something?" Joe asked her.
"She wants to tell you her secret," Harry said as he wheeled into the Cortex, he was using Eobard's chair since he could barely stand without immediately getting hit by a wave of pain and dizziness. He stopped to look at Alura.
"But she doesn't know where to start," Harry told them.
Barry looked at her with extreme confusion, Kara looked at her daughter in disbelief. Caitlin went to help Harry, but he waved her off.
"I think it would be difficult to know where to begin when your secret threatens everything, everyone around you," Harry said as he wheeled around the room, stopping and grinding his teeth to endure the head-splitting headache.
"Harry, stop it," Alura hissed.
"Maybe we can start at the beginning. It's a very good place to start when you first time-traveled."
A scene played where Alura walked up to her father, her vibrant hazel green eyes made Barry notice her, first, it was because she looked like Kara, then she had his eyes.
"You were so careful not to leave not even the lightest footprint. Until you suddenly change your actions by showing up to help your parents with the Reichman, brazenly interfering with the course of history. I think to myself 'nope, nope, the reason for her visit doesn't make sense.' Until you understand that..." Harry paused to recollect his thoughts, he looked at everyone in the Cortex. All of their confused faces were focused on Alura, who let a few tears run down her face.
"It wasn't your idea..." Harry trailed off, directing the chair to turn and face her. Barry looked at Alura with disbelief, he hasn't thought of that, he would never think Alura would hide something from them.
