Newt's POV

I sat next to Gwen's cold body. She wasn't dead thank god but she was totally out of it. She would sit up and scream but her eyes were closed then fall back down. Jeff was taking care of her.

"How she doing?" Minho came in asking.

"Alive, thanks to you." I say.

"Good, you know Gally didn't mean it right. It's siblings being siblings." He spoke making my blood boil.

"I get that but he doesn't need to kill her. It's his sister for god's sake." I say putting my face in my hands.

"It's almost time for dinner, come on." He says putting a hand on my shoulder.

"I can't leave her." I say looking at him.

"She will be fine I promise. If she awakes Jeff will come get us. Right?" He says looking at the boy.

"Of course Minho." He says smiling.

"Fine." I says standing.

We walked out but before I took one last glance at the sleeping girl.

Gwen's POV

I slowly fluttered my eyes open to see a figure standing above me. Once my eyes adjusted I saw Jeff.

"Hey you okay?" He asked.

I nod. I was lying my throat was killing me and my head was throbbing.

"I'm going to go get Minho and Newt, stay here." He says.

He turns but I grab his wrist I look him dead in the eye and shake my head.

"I promised Gwen." He says softly.

I shook my head again.

"Fine but if I get in trouble I'll blame you." He says with a smile.

I smile at him before slowly standing with his help. I nod and take my leave and see Chuck with a piece of food in his hand, I run towards him.

"Gwen! Oh god you scared me." He laughs.

I put my finger over my lips he does the same but says shh as he does it making me smile.

"I'm going to go give Thomas food don't tell Gally." He says.

The mention of his name makes my stomach hurt. I push it aside and smile before making it look like I was locking my lips and throwing away the key, Chuck laughs. Soon we're at the pit and Chuck walks over to the hole Thomas sits in.

"Who's there?" Thomas yells out.

"It's just me and Gwen." Chuck says as we look down at him.

Chuck hands him the food.

"Here you will run better on a full stomach." He smiles.

"Thanks Chuck." He signs.

Thomas's looks at him weird.

"Hey that turned out pretty good who's it for?" He asked.

Chuck had a little carving in his hands.
