[7] Is It Really Over?

Gwen's POV

We stood by the door of the maze.

"Gally. This doesn't feel right. What if Thomas is right. What if he can lead us home." I say as Gally walks toward me.

"We are home ok? I don't want to have to cross anymore names off that wall."

"You really think banishing us is gonna solve anything." Teresa says as a boy holds onto her.

"No this isn't a banishing, it's a offering."

"What wait." Teresa as the boy ties her to a spot. "Gally what are you doing?!"

"You really think I'm going to let Thomas back into the maze after what he's done. Look around you. Look at our Glade. This is the only way. And when the grievers get what they came here for everything goes back to the way it was."

"Are you listening to this? Why are you all just standing there? He's crazy."

"Will you shut up?"

"If you stay here the grievers are going to come back. They are going to come back and they are going to keep coming back until your all dead."

"Shut up! Tie them up. Did you hear me I said tie them up!" He yells as he walks away.

We all attack helping Thomas and Teresa escape.

"Your full of surprises aren't you?" Gally raises his hands.

"You don't have to come with us but we are leaving. Anyone else wants to come this is your last chance." Thomas announces.

"Don't listen to him he's just trying to scare you."

"No I'm not Turing to scare you. You already scared. I'm scared. But I rather risk my life out there then spend the rest of it in here. We don't belong here. This place isn't our home. We were out here, we were trapped here. At least out there we have a choice. We can make it out of here. I know that."

Nobody moves until Winston steps forward joining us, more and more follow.

"Gally it's over just come with us, brother please." I plead.

"Good luck against the grievers." He nods.

"Your an idiot Gally, just know that."

With that we all turn and leave I glance back at them before continuing on.

We all follow behind Minho and Thomas as they lead us through the maze.

"Keep up guys, we're almost there." He announces.

We slow down as we come to a turn. Thomas looks slowly before turning back.

"Is there a griever?" Chuck whispers.

"Ya."

"You take this Chuck and you stay behind us." Minho says as he hands him the object from the dead grievers body.

"It's okay, just stay with me." I say smiling at him.

"Once we're through it will activate and the door will open. We stay close and we stay together we get through this. We get out now or we die trying, let's go!"

We all run towards the Grover ready to fight. We run at it and it runs at us. We push it to the side getting past it. We start to push it towards the edge. It swings its tail and we all dodge it. It grabs into a boy throwing him off the edge. It legs slams in front of me and I hit it full force. Chuck loses the key chasing after it.
