Izuku Midoriya
I walked along side of Kacchan, giddy that we would be spending the day together. The arcade was just outside of campus but the walk was relatively long. I found Kacchan in the kitchen making himself lunch... He slept for quite a long time today. Had he gone to bed later than usual?
I looked over at the blonde boy, studying his facial features. His eyes were so red yet it wasn't the color of blood. It was more like roses or rubies. He didn't seem as angry because he wasn't frowning. Instead, he looked really confused.
"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked as I looked down, kicking a pebble a few feet away from me.
"Just..." I looked over at Kacchan, surprised that he might actually want to talk about something. He never was an open book. But I assume he might have opened up to one of his girlfriends before. It made me a little nervous and maybe a little jealous that he could have had a girlfriend before. But I should be happy for him, right?
He had his hands shoved in his pockets as he looked down, biting his lip as he thought. In the most un-perverted way, he looked kind of hot when he bit his lip. Not that I would ever tell him that.
"It's nothing." He looked ahead, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink. Why? It wasn't cold and he didn't look like he was hot... Well, not stove hot at least.
We walked in silence for a while longer, either of us not really sure what to say. Kacchan always had something to say, but I guess something had silenced him. What was it?
I looked up and realized we were finally out of U.A., getting closer to the arcade. As we approached the arcade, I noticed Kacchan had stopped a few feet away from the building. I turned around and looked at him.
He almost looked... Lost?
He still had his hands tucked into his front pockets, looking down at the ground. He suddenly looked up at me and took a few steps towards me. No frown, no anger, just... Kacchan. I noticed how I didn't flinch or tense up when he was about a foot away from me.
His eyes, his ruby eyes, held more emotions than I could decipher. His lips were slightly parted as he figured out what to say. Several people had walked past us but no one made it a point to stop and stare.
"Deku..." I felt chills run up my spine because of the way he had said my name. Why did he look so serious? He gulped before speaking again. "Do you think I'm a bad person?" I stared in shock at Kacchan, wondering where this all came from.
"Well..." I looked down and played with my fingers before looking up at him again. I slowly took one of his bigger and rougher hands into mine, rubbing the back of his knuckles. I noticed how he tensed up the moment I touched him. He almost seemed like he was going to smack my hand away, but decided against it.
Was Kacchan finally opening up to me?
"I don't think bad people worry about being good." I gave him a small smile and watched as his eyebrows raised. As I went to retract to my hand, I noticed the little squeeze he gave me before dropping his hand at his side.
Even if Kacchan wasn't himself on the way to the arcade, gaming definitely picked up his spirits. I had forgotten how competitive he can get.
"I'm going to kick your ass, Deku!" He smirked, sliding the puck across the air hockey table. I quickly slid my striker across the table, sending the puck back towards him.
"Yeah, right, in your dreams!" I laughed, watching as he slid the puck back to me.
We both made a bet that whoever won this game couldn't say no to the other person for an entire day. Kacchan and I also agreed that quirks weren't allowed. I was nervous because if he won, there's no telling what he would make me do. But if I won, there's also no telling what I would make him do. It wouldn't be bad... Just, strange.
