Epilogue

My feet pound on the ground. The trees zoom past as I race through the woods. In the sky above I hear the caw of a familiar raven. I jump over a stream as Diaval swoops low and flies just in front of me.

We race through the woods until I come to a cliff. Without fear I jump off. Mid jump I change into a raven thanks to the necklace Maleficent gifted me allowing me to change into whatever whenever. Diaval has a matching one.

We soar through the sky as the sun rises on a new day. I hear giggling and see four fae children flying with us. I caw and fly higher. I do a loop and dive before I come up next to them and Maleficent. Diaval flies to my other side. She smiles at us before flying off with the children.

I look at Diaval before diving down towards the fields. Our shadows glide over the grass as we fly low to the ground. Our wing tips touch as we fly closer together. He transforms into a wolf and races through the field.

I shake my head and transform as well chasing his black tail through the field. We leap over a stone wall and through a small pond. We climb up the forested side of a cliff and stop at the top. We transform into humans and stand on the edge looking out over the moors.

"It's beautiful." I say.

"It is." Diaval says.

Out of the corner of my eye I see him looking at me, not the view. I turn to face him. "But you're not even looking at the view."

"You are my view." He says before pulling me close and kissing my lips passionately. I raise my hands and lift them into his hair. My fingers tangle in his curls.

We pull apart. His face is all red.

"I apologize." He says.

"Don't." I kiss him again. "It was perfect. I love you, Diaval."

We rest our foreheads together. "I love you too, (Y/n)."
