I'm flying through the air when suddenly I'm not a raven any more. I fall to the ground as a wolf, yelping in surprise before I turn back to a raven. A few feet ahead I see Diaval in the same situation.

At the same time we turn to humans and fall to the ground. I see a brick wall on the ground. I tuck my head in and prepare for contact. My back hits the wall and I roll off. The wind knocked from my lungs, as I gasp for breath. My head connects with the ground before everything goes dark.

"(Y/n). (Y/n)."

I feel a light shake of my shoulders. I groan and open my eyes slowly.

"Oh thank goodness. (Y/n) are you alright?"

I make out the vague shape of Diaval kneeling over me. I blink a few times and my vision clears. "Diaval?"

"Are you okay, (y/n)?" He holds my hand in his as he pulls me up to my feet.

I wobble a bit and he catches me.

"Carefull." He says.

"Thank you Diaval." I say. "I'm okay I think. Just a little sore on my back."

Together we walk back to the moors in search of Maleficent. After looking all night we don't find her anywhere. We ask around too and it seems like no one has seen her. I sit by the throne and sigh. Diaval sits next to me.

"Do you think something bad happened to her? She wouldn't just leave? Would she? And leave us like this?" I say.

"I don't know what to think." Diaval says. "I'm just glad you're okay." He takes my hand and with his other he brushes some hair out of my face.

We hear the russell of branches and leaves. "Maleficent! Maleficent! Godmother!" We see Aurora break through the foliage.

"She's not in the moors." Diaval says and we both stand.

"Diaval. (Y/n)."

"No one's seen her." I say.

"I'm so happy to see you two." Aurora says and hugs us both.

"She's nowhere to be found. What if she never comes back? We could be stuck as humans forever." Diaval says.

"I have to find her, she's the only one who can break the curse." Aurora says determinedly. Aurora goes back to Ulstead to tell them she couldn't find Maleficent.

Me and Diaval walk together through the moors hoping that maybe Maleficent will show up.

"Is it really that bad if we stay human?" I ask Diaval. We stop by our spot by the pond. The water reflects in his eyes as he looks at me.

Before he can respond however a voice rings out over the moors. "To all who live on the Moors..."

We look at each other curiously. "What was that?"

"...and kingdoms far and wide, the king and queen invite you... to attend the wedding... of their son Philip to Aurora in three days' time. All are welcome. And all are expected!"

"They're still having the wedding?" I ask.

Diaval shrugs. We walk back to the throne and I notice Aurora waiting there.

"(Y/n), would you come with me to Ulsead?"

"Of course, Aurora." I say. I turn to Diaval. "I'll be back before the wedding. I promise."

I hop on the back of Aurora's horse and we ride towards the castle. We get off the horse and head through the castle to Aurora's room.

"Aurora, why did you need me here?" I ask.

"You're my best friend, (y/n). I feel better with you here, and the queen wants to apologize for the actions of the guard."

"Oh." I say.

A couple minutes later the queen comes in.

"Your majesty." I nod.

"Ah, (Y/n). Glad you could make it back. I wanted to apologize for the actions of the guard the other night." She smiles.

"It's okay your highness." I say.

After a few minutes of chatter Aurora steps behind a changing screen and comes back out wearing the dress the fairies and I helped make.

Aurora twirls in the dress and it looks amazing. I smile widely and so does Aurora. "The fairies made it, along with (Y/n)."

The queen nods. A few servants enter pulling an extravagant gown of white and pearl. Aurora and I look at the dress.

"I wore it when I married the king." The queen explains.

"I'm sure it's perfect." Aurora says, a little sad that she won't be wearing the dress the fairies made.

"So am I." The queen smiles and hugs Aurora before leaving us alone in Aurora's room.

"I personally think our dress is better." I huff.

Aurora laughs softly.

I begin to think about Diaval back at the moors and that funny feeling I would get when around him.

"Aurora, how do you feel when you're with Philip?" I ask curiously.

"Well, I feel really happy. Like my life is a little brighter."

"Do you ever feel like you ate a whole swarm of butterflies? And your heart pounds like you're in danger but you feel perfectly safe?" I ask.

"Yes, absolutely!" She sits down on the bed next to me.

"What is that feeling?" I ask.

"Why it's love (y/n). Why do you ask? Is it a certain raven in your life." She teases.

I look away and blush. "Why do I feel those things when we're together?" I ask.

"Isn't it obvious. You're in love!" Aurora squeals.

"In love? With Diaval?" I stare at my hands. "What do I do?"

"Well you could tell him how you feel."

"But what if he doesn't feel the same?" I ask worry etched into my face.

"Don't worry about that. I have reason to believe that he does in fact care for you, (y/n)." Aurora says. "Just tell him when you're ready."

"How do I tell him?"

"Well, you could always just kiss him. I believe that will send the message just fine."

I hug Aurora. "Thank you."

"Now off to the moors with you. Don't keep your pretty bird waiting."

I smile and rush out of the castle. I run through the garden; the wind blowing my hair out of my face. I reach the bridge and cross it into the moors looking for Diaval.
