We were all sitting on the sofa, chatting, when an idea popped in my head. I ran upstairs and got down the record player and some of the records, before running back down the stairs.
"Remus, I think you're going to love this song," I said as I put the record on. Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival played. I turned up the volume and took Remus' hands, yanking him off of the sofa.
"Really?" Remus asked with an unamused tone
"Really," I giggled. "Dance, come on, don't be lame,"He sighed and slowly started swaying back and forth. "Yeah, there you go, James, Mia, come on!"
They all laughed and started to dance. I grabbed Remus' hands again and started flailing them around as I jumped up and down.
The rest of the night was like that. We all danced and laughed until we were all worn out and out of breath. "Alright kids, time to go to bed," Mia said.
"Goodnight, mum," James said as he headed up the stairs. "Wait, where's dad?"
"Oh, erm he's just at work. You know how he is," why won't he stop asking questions.
"It's midnight,"
"More paperwork came in for him to fill out. Now go to bed. All of you," I need a break.
We all went upstairs and when James went into his room, Remus went into mine. I laid back on my bed and sighed. "She's lying," I said. Remus sat next to me.
"What do you mean?"
I stood up and paced around my room. "I'm a Legilimens, Remus. And it's not just that. I can tell. I mean, he's been gone every night and when he comes back, he's exhausted. Something is up,"
Remus opened his mouth to say something, but my door swung open, revealing James. "You're a Legilimens!?"
"Keep it down!" I hissed as I grabbed his arm and drug him into my room, slamming the door.
"I should've known. There's no way anybody is that good at chess," James said. "Wait, do you know?" He asked as he turned to Remus.
"Since first year, and trust me, I've learned to block her out, but she really is that good at chess,"
"I can't believe this. Holy shit. Wait, why the hell is Remus in here?"
"Why were you standing outside of my door ease dropping?" I asked
"That's not the point. I mean, you're a bloody Legilimens!"
"Okay, yeah, cool. Can you leave?"
"Why, so you and Moony can snog some more?"
"Just get out," I huffed. He rolled his eyes and walked out of my room. I heard his footsteps fade away, but I could still hear his thoughts. "James," I warned through the door.
"Alright, I'm leaving," this time he actually did leave and I sighed, walking back over to Remus who was still sitting on my bed. I sat on his lap, swinging my legs over his so that I was straddling him. He rest his hands on my waist, using his thumbs to trace light circles.
"You okay?" He asked
"Mhm," I hummed and kissed him. I ran my hands up the front of his shirt and lightly pushed him back. He grinned up at me as I lifted his shirt and kissed down his torso.
Remus lay there sweaty, shirtless, and in his boxers a few minutes later. I turned off the lamp and got under the covers, laying my head on his chest. "The full moon is next week," he said
