Remus
"Cal! Get down here!" I shouted from the stairs of our home. "I have a surprise!" I heard the loud thrumming of her bare feet run down the hallway. We had survived the war. All of us. Lily, James, Sirius, and even Peter. Nobody talks to him these days, and for good reason. He betrayed us all, and tried to kill Lily and James. Thankfully, Marlene, Dorcas, Mary, Alice, Frank, Calista, Sirius, and I were all over at James' to go trick or treating with Harry. Peter showed up, and before I knew it, Lily had him on the ground with her knee to his groin and her wand pointed to his throat. He turned into his rat form and scurried out of the door, and ever since then, he's been gone. I don't even know if he's alive, and I don't care.
When Cal emerged, her hair was a mess and she had my David Bowie shirt on that went to the middle of her thighs. Though the shirt was big, it still hugged her small baby bump just enough for it to show. "Oh my Merlin, this is," she put her hands over her mouth and I could see tears form behind her glasses. Cal and I had been working tirelessly to try and put together this crib without magic for weeks now, and we couldn't do it. She said that she didn't want to rely on magic all of the time, so I did it her way. While she was asleep, I put it together. I almost threw it across the room several times, but I persevered and got through it.
She ran down the stairs and gave me a bone crushing hug. I buried my head in the crook of her neck and hugged her back. When she pulled away, a huge grin was on her lips. "What?" I chuckled.
"How are you going to get it up the stairs?" She asked softly.
I groaned and ran my hands down my face. "I didn't even think about that,"
She patted the side of me face and pulled my wand from my back pocket. "Wingardium Leviosa," she said, and the small wooden crib floated up the stairs as she followed it.
"I thought you didn't want to rely on magic all of the time, love," I joked.
"We are wizards, Remmy. It's only natural," she said and kissed my cheek. When we got into the semi-done nursery, she gently sat the crib down and took a step back, and leant against my body.
"We're going to spoil the hell out of this baby," she said.
"Not too much though. Don't want it to be like James,"
Seven Months Later...
"REMUS!" I heard James yell from down the hallway of the hospital. He, Lily, Sirius, Dorcas, Mary, Marlene, and Alice all ran towards me, and of course, accompanied by two month old Harry, who was bouncing up and down on James chest seeing as he was strapped on there.
"We came as soon as we could. Where is she? Is the baby born?" Lily asked out of breath.
"Yes. Would you like to see her?"
"IT'S A GIRL?!" Marlene screamed. "OH MY GOD! THIS IS AMAZING!"
"Mar, shh," Alice said softly.
"James, you can go first, seeing as you're her brother," He gave Harry over to Lily and I lead him into the room, where a very tired, but still smiling Calista was.
"Hey, Cal," James said. She lifted her head and her eyes lit up.
"She just fell asleep, so be quiet,"
James quickly, but quietly, walked over to Cal and scooped up my baby girl. "What's her name?" He whispered. Cal looked up and me and I nodded. We hadn't named her yet. We wanted James to.
"We wanted you to name her," Cal said. James looked up at us in complete shock.
"W-what? You want me to—are you sure?"
