Calista's pov

It was Christmas break now. James and I had made up. But Remus and James, that's a whole different story. I invited Remus to come home with me for break, and he said yes, which James wasn't happy about. I had been feeling a bit under the weather, but I brushed it off as allergies.

Pete, Remus, James, and I all sat in the compartment. James sat next to Peter, glaring at Remus. "Chess?" I asked Remus.

"You know it,"

We sat on the floor and I pulled out my board. As usual, I put the pieces in my hands. "Chose," he tapped my left wrist. White. He blocked me out.

I knew neither Pete or James would want to time us. We played for about ten minutes before I won. "You suck," I giggled

"Or you just keep getting better,"

I tried to stand up, but there was a sharp pain in my leg. Like something was grinding away at my bones. I fell back down. "Whoa, you okay?" Remus asked me.

"Yeah, my leg just fell asleep," I said, taking his hand as he helped me back up.

"Remus! Hi dear, how have you been?" Mia asked as she brought him into a hug. "Gods you've gotten so tall,"

"Yeah," he said shyly as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Mia, can I talk to you for a moment?" I asked

"Of course,"

We stepped away from the group. "So erm, Remus and I are-"

"Oh Merlin, this is perfect!" She gasped. "I knew you two would end up together. Fleamont owes me,"

I giggled a bit before she pulled me into a hug. "You two haven't..."

"Gods no," I said.

"Do you two kiss?"

"Occasionally," I said, slightly embarrassed.

"Don't do it around Fleamont, he'll have a fit,"

"I can't even kiss him in front of James, so that won't be a problem,"

"That boy," she muttered. "Right, well, let's go back. If we leave them alone any longer, I'm sure they'll find some way to get into trouble,"

••••••

"Remus, you will stay in James' room, if that's alright," Mia said as we entered the house

"No way. He's not staying in my room," James said. "Have him stay in Cals room,"

"James Potter!" Mia shouted. "What has gotten into you?"

"Alice!" He called out. A small elf appeared. "Can you put Remus' things in Cal's room, please?"

"Of course," the small elf said and snapped her fingers, her and Remus' bags were gone.

"Is that okay with you? I mean I can easily stay on the sofa," Remus said

"I'll have Alice conjure up a second bed, seeing as James wants to be a baby," Mia sighed. "Go on and unpack, I'll call you down for lunch when it's done,"

James was already upstairs before she even said anything. Remus followed me up the stairs and down the hall, into my room. Already, there was a second bed next to mine. "I love your room," Remus said as he sat down on his bed.

"Thanks," I said as I tried to put my trunk on my bed, but my arm gave out, making it fall. Everything spilled out, and I mean everything.

"Here, let me help," Remus said softly as he helped me pick up my things.
