We were in Mikes basement thinking of a plan. The girl was breathing hard as she was still scared until Mike spoke up.
"Is there a number we can call your parents?" Mike asked.
"Where's your hair? Do you have cancer?" Dustin asked.
"Dustin!" I scolded. As I hit his arm.
"Did you run away?" Lucas asked.
"Are you in some kind of trouble?" Mike asked.
"Is that blood?" Lucas asked as he leaned forward.
"Stop it! Your freaking her out." I said pushing Lucas hand away from the girl.
"She's freaking me out!" Lucas added.
"I bet she's deaf." Dustin said as he clapped his hands and the girl jumped at the movement.
"Dustin..." I said.
"Not deaf."
"All right, that's enough, all right?" Mike said.
"She's just scared and cold." I added as I sat down next to her. She looked at me still scared. "It's okay, we're not going to hurt you, okay?"
Mike walked over to a pile of clothes that sat on top of the washing machine and picked a few clothes out. There was a loud thunder that scared the girl, Lucas and Dustin looked at me and I mouthed an 'it's okay'.
"Hey, it's okay, it's okay," I said trying to calm her down. "We're right here nothing is going to happen, okay? It's just rain." As I put my hands on hers, it already seems like she was starting to feel comfortable as she has relaxed a bit.
"Here, these are clean. Okay?" Mike said as he handed her some clean clothes. She looked at them and observed them very carefully. She took off the coat and started to take off her oversized shirt.
"No, no, no!" The boys yelled as I grabbed her hands to put her shirt down.
"Oh, my God. Oh, my God." Dustin said as he and Lucas turned around.
"See over there?" Mike said with stammering as he pointed to the basement bathroom. "That's the bathroom."
"Privacy. Get it?" Mike asked. The girl looked at Mike and I confused and then the bathroom before picking the clothes up from the couch and started walking forward towards the bathroom. Mike and I followed her and she observed the bathroom, I stayed behind Mike as he was about to close the door, but the girl stopped him.
