Chapter 2

TW: mentions abuse, blood

Yuzu finally found her classroom, and as she entered everyone looked at her with surprise. The only one who seemed intrigued was Harumin Taniguchi. Yuzu sat at the table in far back next to a window, put her earphones in and laid on the desk. After a few minutes she felt a tap on her shoulder, when she looked up, Harumin was sitting across her, smiling from ear to ear and said "Heya! You a transfer student? Never seen you before. I'm Harumin, Harumin Taniguchi, nice to meet ya!". Yuzu looked her with a question mark on her face and said "Sure. I'm Yuzu Okogi" Harumin beamed and said "Nice! I'll call you Yuzuchi heh." Yuzu gave her a nod as in 'Sure, whatever'. The bell rang and all students in her class started coming in. And the one who was most surprised to see Yuzu was the president. Yuzu didn't watch who entered the classroom as she wasn't interested so she didn't see the president. First period was quite boring for Yuzu because she already learnt all of this at home because she had no friends so she just studied and studied and studied herself to sleep. The teacher noticed that Yuzu was not paying attention and said "The student next to the window in the last row. Come solve this", Yuzu irritated, got up and solved it with little effort and went back to her seat. The teacher looked at her with a blank expression "Ahem...Well done. We'll continue now and make sure you pay attention", Yuzu just sighed. The president was surprised that this delinquent was this smart.

 After classes ended and it was time to go home Harumin yelled "YUZUCHI! Let's go grab some ice cream or something on the way home." Yuzu looked at her and said "Who said I'll go together with you?", she got up and left, Harumin was kind of hurt but realized that Yuzuchi was this type of person and it'll take time to get closer to her. Yuzu while walking home grabbed some canned juice, specifically lemonade, she loved lemonade. When she opened it she took a sniff to smell the delicious aroma, for a moment her eyes flashed with light. Hey eyes have been dead and dull since her mothers abuse started because she never got any love or right attention. She only got bruises and swear words. When she got home she said "I'm home" but quietly hoping her mother wouldn't hear her, unfortunately for Yuzu, Ume did hear. She went to the hallway and said "Come to the kitchen I have someone to introduce.", Yuzu sighed. She took off her shoes and head to the kitchen when she entered she saw her mother sitting down across from a girl with black hair and light purple eyes. It was the student council president. Yuzu wasn't that surprised but she certainly did feel a little bit of anger when she saw her, but of course, Yuzu being Yuzu, she didn't show any emotions. The president certainly was surprised that the delinquent from her class was here. Ume said "This is Sho's daughter, Mei.", Mei got up from her chair and bowed to Yuzu saying "Nice to meet you. I am Aihara Mei". Yuzu thought to herself 'So her name was Mei huh?'. Yuzu replied with "Yeah, sure I guess." Ume got irritated by Yuzu's response and yelled "YUZU!". Mei flinched and Yuzu just clicked her tongue and said "Tch. I am Yuzu Okogi.", Ume responded to her saying "It's not Okogi anymore for God's sake." Yuzu got irritated and just went to her room. Sat on her bed, and sighed once again. She thought to herself 'Great, I have a another nuisance...' 

Meanwhile in the kitchen

"I'm sorry for her behaviour. She's been like that for quite some time now. I don't know why." Ume said as if she already doesn't know why Yuzu is like this. Mei obviously doesn't know about Ume's abuse towards Yuzu and Ume doesn't plan on revealing it. Ume already threatened Yuzu not to tell anybody so she felt relieved. Mei said "No, it is alright. I will try my best to get closer to her.", Ume responded, "Aww, you're such a sweet child. How can someone be so lovely!"

Back to Yuzu

Yuzu was getting ready for a shower and as she was exiting the room she heard her mother say "Aww, you're such a sweet child. How can someone be so lovely!". She grit her teeth and continued going to the bathroom. The only place that comforted her now. She could do whatever she wanted in the without being seen. She took off her bandages, and filled the bathtub with warm water. She entered the tub slowly, taking in that good feeling of warm water, and let a sigh of relief. She was laying in the tub for about 10 minutes until she heard a knock on the door and someone say "Hey. Can I come in. I can wash your back if you want", it was Mei. Yuzu didn't respond. Worried Mei tried again *knock knock* "Hey Yuzu? Are you okay?". Yuzu still didn't respond. Mei now started panicking and tried opening the locked door. The doors were rattling which annoyed Yuzu, so she got out of the bath, took a towel, wrapped it around her and opened the door, where Mei was standing. "Wh-what." Mei first got surprised by the tall blonde girl looking down at her and the door suddenly opening until Yuzu asked "What do you want? Can't I have a peaceful bath? If you want to take a shower so badly, go in now.". Mei responded "N-no, that's not it. I wanted to take a bath together with you." Yuzu looked at her with a confused face and said, "You want to see me naked that much?". Mei flinched and said "What?! N-no!". Mei blushed just a little it was barely noticeable but Yuzu noticed and smirked. Yuzu went back to her room and left Mei standing there frozen, blushing a little.

Since Mei didn't have her own room, she had to settle in Yuzu's room. She came into her room and saw Yuzu sitting on the bed on her phone, still as emotionless as ever. Mei said "I'm sorry, you'll have to bear with me sleeping in your bed for a while." Yuzu looked her and said "It doesn't matter, just don't take too much of my space..." Mei nodded. She went to sit at the desk to do some of her school related stuff. While Yuzu got into the bed and dozed off pretty quickly, Mei finished her business and turned around towards the bed and saw Yuzu's sleeping face. She thought to herself 'She was pretty tall so I did think her figure was good, but I didn't expect it to be THAT good.' She stared at Yuzu's face for a couple more seconds and thought 'Her sleeping face is quite cute considering she always looks emotionless.'. Mei then climbed into the bed and tuned off the lights, she thought she felt...safe?, laying next to Yuzu made her feel that way. She still wasn't sure. That safeness made her doze off pretty quickly. And so both of them fell asleep.

Yuzu's 'dream'

Yuzu was sitting on a bench in a playground. It was a playground she and her father often played at. She was looking around and there was no one around. When she got up she heard someone's voice say "Hey Zu". She gasped and knew who it was. Only one person called her Zu. It was her father. He knew she hated that nickname but continued to use it because it was funny to see her reaction. She turned around and saw her father, smiling. Tears formed in her eyes as she ran towards him. But...He suddenly fell to the ground, blood spilling everywhere. She stopped and stood there shocked. When she looked up, and saw herself holding a knife coated with blood. She muttered "No .No. No." She ran towards her father but when she finally reached him, his body disappeared. Only leaving his blood behind. She started gasping for air when the Yuzu holding a knife said "This was your fault. And. You. Know. It." She looked up at the girl who grinned and started chocking Yuzu. She gasped for air, grunted and tried kicking but to avail. It was then when the girl who was chocking Yuzu started to take the form of her mother. Yuzu shocked and angry that her mother appeared in her dream tried screaming but nothing was happening. Suddenly the world they were in started shaking, but then suddenly stopped. After a few seconds it rocked again, knocking her mother off her feet and Yuzu fell down. She was trying to get up when she suddenly felt a hand reaching her from behind she tried catching the hand before it grabbed her and...

!

They were both peacefully sleeping until Mei heard Yuzu grunting. She thought she was imagining it at first but the grunts and...what sounded like painful moans, got louder. Mei sprung up to see what's up with the blonde. She saw her sweating and almost as if...gasping for air. She tried waking Yuzu up but failed. So Mei started shaking Yuzu aggressively, but to no avail. Then she tried touching her face but Yuzu, after being beaten so many times, sensed her hand and grabbed it tightly and waking up. Mei winced at the pain because Yuzu grabbed her hand so tightly she thought it was going to fall of. Yuzu looked around, out of breath, like she just ran a marathon. After hearing Mei hissing at the pain, she saw she was holding her hand and let go. Mei's hand got a little red, when Yuzu saw that she said "Sorry." After calming down, Yuzu said  "You can turn off the lights and go to sleep now. I'll be fine. It was just a nightmare" Mei looked at her for a couple of seconds and Yuzu made a 'well?' face. So Mei did as she was told. After a couple of minutes passed Yuzu fell asleep again and Mei was waiting for that so she can go to sleep as well. And so the fell asleep for the second time. This time with no nightmares interrupting.

I hope they get a good nights rest. Especially Yuzu :)

Well. Here we are. I tried putting in the dream idea, kinda fun to be honest. These chapters were more like introductions with all the other shit going on. I think the next chapter will be interesting :D And I hope y'all find it interesting as well -dittos
