Chapter 7

Yuzu woke up the next morning, groaning and her head in pain. She felt something tug her arm, it was Mei. She thought it was little cute how she looked when she slept. Yuzu tried to remember what happened last night, but only remember fragments. She remembers leaving with Harumin, stumbling on the stairs when coming home, she remembers being on top Mei, but that was about it. As she was leaving the bed she woke Mei up. Mei looked at Yuzu and it took her a moment but she definitely remembered what she did to Yuzu yesterday and blushed. Yuzu looked her with one eyebrow up and continued getting up. "I'll go prepare breakfast." Yuzu said and left, Mei couldn't say anything because of her embarrassment.

At the school gates

"YUZUCHI!~" Harumin yelled, "I totally forgot that you were supposed to sleep at my place yesterday!!! I'm so sorry, after saying that I'll take care of you..." Harumin said. "It's fine. Besides I feel so much better now. Thank you" Yuzu said and then gave Harumin a smile. Everyone saw her smile including Mei. Everyone also blushed seeing that the mood around Yuzu was bright again. Students started approaching her. 'Stay away from my Yuzu' thought Mei...'W-wait?! My Yuzu?!!' She blushed thinking about what she just thought. "Mei-Mei?" said Himeko, making Mei snap out of her thoughts. "It's nothing. Let's go." said Mei.

While in her office Mei started thinking about what happened yesterday with Yuzu. At first she blushed thinking of their kiss, but that quickly stopped when she remember how Yuzu sobbed and begged for forgiveness. It made her get lost in her thoughts "What do you think of that Aihara Yuzu?" said Himeko which made Mei flinch. "What do I think?...Well I think she's a careless when it comes to classes. I get that she already knows all of what we're learning but she should pay attention in class..." said Mei 'Also she shouldn't smile around people too much. What would I do if they took her away?' Mei thought, blushing at her stupid thoughts again.

After school

Yuzu and Mei were walking home like any other day until a girl with pink hair bumped into Yuzu. She stumbled backwards and fell. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there." Yuzu rushed to help her. when the girl took her hand and looked up and saw her "Y-Yuzu?" she said. "It's you Yuzu, isn't it?!", the girl jumped into a hug with Yuzu. Confused Yuzu asked her "Ma...tsuri?" "YEAH! It's me Yuzu, Matsuri!" said the girl with pink hair. "Oh my God, I haven't seen you in...what? 8 years?" said Matsuri. "Yeah I think it's been that long." Yuzu said while smiling. "Woah. You've gotten really tall haven't you. Also very pretty hehe." Matsuri blushed when she saw Yuzu's smile. Matsuri saw a grumpy black haired girl in the back and asked "Who is she? Is she your friend?" she asked. "Oh, ah. She's my new step-sister. My.......mother remarried." Matsuri took a look at her and Mei said "I am Mei Aihara, Yuzu's younger step-sister." and bowed. "Hmmm~" Matsuri hummed in an amused tone. "Well I have to get home, my brother is waiting for me, he's home alone. But give me your contact info, I'll contact you soon so we can meet up!" said Matsuri. "Wait you have a brother? And yeah sure, here's my phone." Yuzu responded. Matsuri laughed as she exchanged numbers. "Yeah, make sure to come visit and meet him!" Matsuri said as she was walking away. "Sure!" Yuzu yelled in a response and so they went their separate ways. Mei grumbled, she had a bad feeling about Matsuri, as Yuzu hummed because of happiness that she met her childhood friend.

They finally got home, and put on something more comfortable. Yuzu went to make dinner, they ate and went to bed. Yuzu felt calm and happy, but that made her uneasy because her mother beat her last time she was in a good mood. But since Ume wasn't home, Yuzu felt free to feel anything. And so they both fell asleep.

Somewhere in the middle of who the fuck knows where

"Mrs. Okogi. I think I gave you till tomorrow to get me the money back. You only payed me 75% of what I'm owed, you know that?" said a man in a suit with a cigarette in his mouth. "I helped you pay off your daughters surgery, oh by the way, how is that little rascal doing?" he said. "I know you did, and I never should've taken the money, she should've just died. She's doing good unfortunately..." said Ume. "Whoa, aren't you a little cold towards your own blood?" he smirked. "I don't give a shit about her anymore. I kept her alive this long so she can live with the regret of killing someone..." said Ume. "Tell you what...If you can't get me the money by tomorrow. I'll take your kid and do whatever I want with her except killing her, since you want her to suffer so much." said the man. "Deal?"....."Deal" Ume responded. "I will try to get you the money by tomorrow but if I can't, you're free to do whatever you want with that monster...Then...I hope I won't be seeing you again Mr. Shi" said Ume and walked off. "Heh~ I guess I'll finally have some fun. I was getting bored recently~" said Shi as he scoffed.

Why does Ume keep calling Yuzu a monster? It surely can't be just because she 'killed' her father can it?
