Chapter 8

The next day, Harumin and Yuzu were having lunch. Yuzu had some food on her face and Harumin went to wipe it. They heard someone scream "Kyaaa~~" behind them and then they saw a small girl on the floor with a nosebleed. "Oye! You okay" Yuzu ran towards her and picked her head up "I can...now die....peacefully...HaruYuzu 4EVER!" said the girl before she passed out. Yuzu and Harumin went to the nurses office to check the girl. The nurse said that nothings wrong she just passed out...from happiness. 10 minutes later the girl wakes up and sees Harumin and Yuzu sitting and talking "Oh my God. This must be heaven" the girl said. Yuzu turned and saw that she woke up "Oh hey. You okay? You passed out with a nose bleed earlier." Yuzu asked. "Yeah I'm fine. I just saw an irresistible HaruYuzu moment and got too excited." the girl said. "HaruYuzu? What's with that? What's your name??" Harumin asked. "I'm Nene. Nene Nomura. And don't worry. HaruYuzu is a faction I created for myself to ship you two!" Nene said. "Uhhhh. Okay?" Yuzu responded. "Anyways, if you're fine, we'll get going. We have class." said Yuzu. "Wait! Can we be friends?" asked Nene. Harumin and Yuzu looked at each other and then looked back at Nene "Sure!" they said in sync. Nene was so happy she almost jumped out of her own skin. And so Harumin and Yuzu went back to class.

Time skip (a couple of days, nothing special happened, just Yuzu and Harumin bonding more and Mei being jealous of Harumin.)

Yuzu's POV

I was playing with my phone while Mei studied when I heard a doorbell ring. I went to see who it was because my mother was too lazy to go herself. When I opened the door, a random man walked in and said "You must be Yuzu right? Nice to meet you!" And he hugged me. 'Wha- Who is this man? How does he know me?' I thought to myself as I was pushing him away. Then my mother came in "Who is it Yuzuko? Oh! Sho!~" She said and went to hug him. I've never seen my mother this happy these past 5 years.....I heard Mei coming to see what's going on, but as soon as she saw Sho, she froze. "Hey Mei. It's been a while hasn't it?" said Sho. Mei just looked at him, then turned away and went into our room slamming the door behind her. 'What the fuck? What's with her. I thought she would be happy to see her father.' I looked back at Sho and he had a depressed expression. Seeing that, I didn't want him to be sad, he just came to our home. So I went and knocked on the door but Mei didn't respond. I took that as a yes and entered and saw Mei sitting on the edge of the bed looking out the window. "What's going on? What's got you in a foul mood?" I asked...She just stayed quiet. I went and sat next to her "You know you can tell me right. I may not look it, but I'm good at solving others problems." I said 'Except mine' I thought to myself. She looked at me with watery eyes. Seeing that I gave her a hug, after a couple of seconds, she returned it. I felt her trembling slightly. "He only...sent me letters. He never came to visit me..." Mei said with a trembling voice. "When he was leaving, he asked if I wanted to come with him. I said no, wanting to make him proud by succeeding the Aihara Academy...I should've come with him. Now it's too late." I just listened as she vented. 'Ah. I see. I certainly would be mad at my dad if he did that. Ahh~ how I wish he did that instead...' I thought to myself. 'Wait. Don't think about that now! Mei is the one whose having a hard time here!' I said to myself and snapped out of my little thoughts. "Have you read the letters?" I asked Mei. She stayed quiet for a while "....No" she answered. "How about you take a look at them now. Maybe you'll get some closure and forgive your father. Even if just a little." I said. "What do you know?! You don't know! You don't know hard it is!" she said, frustrated. I understood and just looked at her. She sighed when she saw the pain in my eyes. "Okay. Maybe I was a little harsh. I'm sorry. I'll look at the letters" Mei said.

We were opening her letters and there were all kinds. Sho sent her letters from everywhere. He wrote everything that was happening and that happened in the letters as well as couple of photos of him and the kids he was there with. I saw that Mei was tearing up as she was reading the letters. I took one to see what he said and read it. It gave me a little warmth that I longed for. Probably from my late father. I closed my eyes and took deep breaths. "You know Mei. You should treasure what you still have" I said with my eyes closed. I didn't hear anything so I opened my eyes and felt her hand on my cheek, brushing off a tear that I didn't know I shed. I turned and our faces were so close, she was so close. I saw her blush and gave her a smile. Seeing that she lunged at me and started kissing me. At first I was surprised and wanted to separate but after a couple more seconds, I started melting. 'Maybe this was the feeling I was longing for. Someone to hold me close and give me love' I thought to myself while still kissing Mei. She licked my bottom lip to ask for entrance and I gladly gave her. She started sucking on my tongue and we had a deep make out session until we flopped on the bed. When she pulled her tongue out, a strand of saliva came out. She blushed seeing it. I just chuckled and hugged her. We were laying on the bed, hugging, and it was so, so~ comfortable, I fell asleep.

Mei's POV

When I heard her say that I should treasure what I still have, my heart started beating faster. I turned around to look at her but saw her with her eyes closed, I looked at her for a couple of seconds until I saw a tear come out. I moved next to her quietly so she didn't hear me. Yuzu opened her eyes and turned her face towards mine. She was so, so~ close. I felt my face heating up, and saw her smile. Something came over me and I jumped at her and started kissing her. After a couple of seconds she returned the kiss. We started making out, it felt so good. After we flopped she gave me a another smile and hugged me. It felt so comfortable. After a couple of minutes, I heard her taking deep breaths. When I looked up at her, she was asleep. So cute..."I guess I'll try talking to my dad tomorrow after school" and so, I fell asleep in her arms. It felt so comforting.

Awwww...

This chapter had a little angst cuz yes. But I love Yuzu and Mei so much together, they're so cute it makes my heart melt. I wish I could just get in here and protect them both, those precious cinnamon buns.
