Couple of days later nothing particularly happened. Just Mei trying to get closer to Yuzu, while Harumin succeeded in doing that, which annoyed Mei a little. Ume's abuse hasn't been discovered yet. Well, until now...

Mei thought it was weird that Yuzu got into fights because she was calm individual, who even got scared by Harumin when playing. She found it suspicious but couldn't do anything about it. "Can you get out now?". Mei then came to her senses and realized that Yuzu was naked and blushed a little "Yes? Yes!" and so she left. Yuzu thought to herself 'Good thing I covered myself up quickly that she didn't see my cuts'

The next morning they woke up, Ume wasn't home and left a note that said they should prepare their lunch themselves. Yuzu used to this already knew how to prepare herself meals because her mother never made her any. So she started making them. Mei sat at the table looking at Yuzu cooking and was surprised she knew how to cook. After Yuzu finished making the meal, she set it up on the table and said "Eat. If you don't like it...We'll do something about it". Mei looked at her and nodded. They started munching down. "Wow. It's amazing." Mei said as she looked at Yuzu who was focused on eating. Yuzu kept silent and just kept eating, seeing that, Mei also continued eating without any further words. After they finished eating and getting ready for school they left together.

At the school gates

"I will see you after school." Mei said. "Yeah sure." Yuzu responded and left separately because Mei had some student council work to do. 

Time skip (sorry lol, nothing particular happened)

"Hey Yuzuchi, wanna go shopping after school?" Harumin asked. Yuzu pondered for a bit but shortly after she said yes because she didn't have anything particular to do at home.  School finished and they started heading towards the mall. Mei was waiting for Yuzu to exit, but she didn't see her anywhere. After waiting for a bit she left alone, while walking she heard Harumin chatter with someone and looked her way. She saw Yuzu and Harumin walking towards the mall. She pondered for a bit and decided to follow them even though she thought it was a stupid idea she wanted to see what Yuzu liked. 

30 minutes later

"Hey! Yuzuchi! Look at this shop, I think you'll like it" and she pointed towards a lingerie shop thinking it would be funny. Yuzu looked at her for a couple of seconds with a serious ass face, and then smiled and laughed for just a moment. Her smile was so beautiful and bright that a couple of strangers stopped and stared at her with awe. "Whoa. You can seriously kill someone with that smile Yuzuchi" said Harumin who blushed. "Shut up" Yuzu mumbled while blushing a little because no one ever complimented her for 5 years. Then they continued walking around while Harumin continued to compliment her smile. Mei who saw her smile was shocked the most. Her heart started beating faster, she blushed hard, and her eyes sparkled. At this moment she thought 'Is this why I've been feeling uneasy for the last couple of days? Do I feel something towards Yuzu? Is this what....love is?' She quickly started walking home trying to calm her beating heart and didn't even realize that she got home so quickly. She entered the apartment and sat on the bed and got lost in thought.

Harumin helped Yuzu get some clothes that looked good on her. After they finished shopping they said goodbye to each other and went their way. When Yuzu got home, she entered the living room and saw Mei there spaced out. She called her out a couple of times but she didn't respond. She realized her feelings for Yuzu and started feeling conscious around her. When they finally laid down in the bed Mei started having sexual thoughts.
