To Larissa's surprise, Harry Potter had not been killed, and from then on everyone began calling him the boy who lived.
He had somehow managed to destroy the greatest wizard ever, despite only being a 1 year old.
With Voldemort gone, Larissa's world began to fall apart.
She couldn't return home, as she was a wanted death eater, so ended up living in various forests and abandoned houses.

Voldemort's followers were being rounded up and sent to Azkaban, including Larissa's cousin Bellatrix.
Rodolphus, Rabastan and Bellatrix had been arrested, torturing the Longbottoms for information on Voldemort's whereabouts.
Many people believed that Sirius had been the Potter's secret keeper and not Peter, so he also ended up in Azkaban, even though he was innocent. And Peter had completely disappeared, everyone assuming that he was dead.
Several death eaters, like Lucius, claimed to have been under the Imperius Curse, so escaped punishment.

As the weeks turned into months, Larissa began to realise, with Voldemort's help, what exactly had happened in Godric's Hollow.
Lily's sacrifice had protected her son, and caused the killing curse to rebound.
Voldemort's body had been destroyed but his soul lived on.
Part of his soul had come apart from the whole, and latched onto Larissa.
The rest of his spirit quickly attached itself to her, in order to escape.
And with Voldemort's spirit inside her, she could hear his thoughts and he could communicate with her.

Voldemort wanted Larissa to use magic to grant him a new body, but everything they tried failed.
While Voldemort was inside her she couldn't think clearly or perform any powerful magic.
Her body also couldn't hold Voldemort's spirit for more than a week or so at a time.
So Voldemort would possess smaller animals, often snakes, to give Larissa's body a break.
During this time she still couldn't perform strong magic, as she was too weak.

Even when Voldemort's spirit wasn't in her, she could still feel his presence as a small part of him lived inside her head.
Larissa had a small red scar on her forehead, similar to Harry's, as it had been caused by Voldemort's soul forcing its way inside her. But he's was a straight line and not a lightning bolt.
With a piece of his soul in her, she had gained the ability to use Parseltongue and talk to snakes.
But Larissa did care about having that gift, as there were far too many negative things that went along with it.
Voldemort was able to easily read her mind, and on rare occasions he could even take control of her body, and force it to do things.

Larissa and Voldemort knew that they couldn't stay in Britain, since Dumbledore did not believe that they were dead.
So they had to the leave the country. And Voldemort decided that they should go to Albania.
Travelling there took Larissa months, but eventually they made it.
They hoped that another of Voldemort's followers would find them, so that they wouldn't have to stay there too long.

"Do you actually know where we are going?" Asked Larissa.
"Yes, we are on the right path" replied Voldemort from inside her head.
If anyone over heard their conversation it would seem like Larissa was talking to herself, since Voldemort's replies came direct to her mind.
"Remind me why it had to be Albania. There are dozens of much closer countries we could have gone to. Why Albania?" Asked Larissa, as she continued trekking through the woods.
"I've been here before, so I know that there are the ruins of an old castle somewhere around here, which we can stay in" answered Voldemort.

"Albania is kind of a random place. Why did you come here last time?" Questioned Larissa curiously.
"Tell me, what do you know of Rowena Ravenclaw's lost diadem?" Quizzed Voldemort.
"I'm not really in the mood for a history lesson" grumbled Larissa.
"Do you want me to tell you why I came here, or not?"
"Fine. The diadem has been lost for centuries. Some people think that Helena Ravenclaw took it, because no one ever saw it after she ran away. And I expect she died before she could tell anyone where she hid it. Although, Rowena never admitted that she had lost it".

"Right you are. I was after the diadem for personal reasons, so I charmed the grey lady, in other words, Helena's ghost, into telling me where it was" revealed Voldemort.
"So, Helena hid the diadem here?" Questioned Larissa.
"Yes. She hid it in a tree, near the place I'm taking us. I found it and hid it somewhere else, once it had served its purpose" replied Voldemort.
"And what purpose was that?"
"I turned the object into the same thing that you are"
"A Horcrux?"
"Yes".

Larissa had heard the word inside Voldemort's head while his spirit was inside her.
At first he had refused to answer her questions on it, but eventually he'd given in and revealed that he'd unintentionally made her into a Horcrux, since there was a part of his soul in her.
"So, Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem is one of your Horcrux's, as am I. But you won't tell me what the others are" sighed Larissa.
"No, it is none of your business" snapped Voldemort.
"I guess not. I bet you're glad they work though, because otherwise you would have died in Godric's Hollow" replied Larissa.
"Yes, I am pleased that I created my Horcrux's successfully".

They made the rest of the journey in silence, until they eventually came to a crumbled down building in the middle of the forest.
"Home sweet home" mumbled Larissa.
"Yes... I've been in you for quite a while now, so I will find a snake to posses and I'll eat some food, while you recover" replied Voldemort.
"Thanks" said Larissa as she came to a hault.
Voldemort's spirit then exited her and entered a nearby animal, causing her to drop to her knees.
She was always exhausted when Voldemort left her, and after travelling for so long, she was more tired than usual.
Larissa just hoped that another death eater found them soon, and would be able to perform the magic that Voldemort needed to return to his body.
