Spending Christmas with the Malfoy's was strange for Larissa, as she hadn't celebrated any special occasions, in many years.
Draco also came home for the holidays, so Larissa got to spend more time with him again, which she enjoyed.
He had started calling her aunt Larissa, even though she was his mother's cousin and not her sister.
Larissa liked this as she had never been an aunt before, due to Regulus and Sirius not having any children.
She woke up early on Christmas morning, and Voldemort apparated into her room while she was getting dressed.
Despite being naked, Larissa made no attempt to cover her body from Voldemort, since it was something he had seen many times. The dark lord placed his hand inside his pocket and removed a beautiful green heart necklace.
"Merry Christmas" he murmered.
He then attached it around Larissa's neck, before letting go and watching it hang just above her breasts.
"It looks perfect on you" whispered Voldemort, as he placed his hands onto her arms.
"Thank you. I'm afraid that I don't have anything to give you in return. I didn't think that we gave each other Christmas presents. I haven't even got you a card" admitted Larissa awkwardly."Your presence alone is enough of a gift" replied Voldemort.
He angled her body towards the full length mirror, so that she could look at herself with him standing beside her.
"Look at us together, we are the perfect couple" said Voldemort.
"I don't deserve you" mumbled Larissa.
"No one does, but since no one is my equal, I must settle for something that is only second to me" admitted Voldemort."When this is all over, you will be at my side, and we will rule over the wizarding world. It is our right and we will take what is ours. I shall be the king of the new world, and you will be my queen" continued Voldemort.
"You used to call my your princess, not your queen" reminded Larissa.
"Yes, but a lot has changed since then. You are no longer the timid girl you were before. You are strong, and you will make an excellent ruler at my side" replied Voldemort.
"I look forward to that day. I long for a future where I can walk around without being afraid that I'm going to be arrested"."You will be able to do as you please, when Lord Voldemort is in control" admitted Voldemort.
"You have been saying that for a very long time" sighed Larissa as she turned to face Voldemort.
"I know. And you have been very patient. But soon your patience will be rewarded, I promise. In fact, I have a surprise for you in the new year, which will make things much easier for us and bring the future we dream of, even closer" revealed Voldemort.Larissa frowned, "What kind of surprise?".
"If I told you, then I wouldn't be a suprise. But trust me, it is one you'll like" insisted Voldemort.
"I thought you didn't keep secrets from me. I am the one person you tell everything to" reminded Larissa.
"You are. And I'm not keeping this from you, because I don't trust you. But simply because I want to surprise you"
"I hope I like this suprise"
"You will".****
Voldemort did not join the Malfoy's to celebrate Christmas Day, so once she was dressed, Larissa headed down to the drawing room alone.
She was surprised to see a heap of presents with her name on when she entered the room.
"What's all this Cissy?" Asked Larissa, as she sat down in the armchair beside her gifts.
"You didn't think we were going to give you an old sock or something for Christmas, did you?" Questioned Narcissa.
"No, but I did not expect all this" admitted Larissa."I don't see what all the fuss is about, the pile isn't even that big" commented Lucius.
"Maybe not to you. But I haven't celebrated Christmas or any holidays in 14 years, maybe even longer" informed Larissa.
"Really?" Asked Narcissa.
"The dark lord didn't exactly put up a tree or make Christmas dinner. He didn't give me Christmas gifts either. He would just buy me a present when he felt that I deserved one. He never cared much for special occasions" replied Larissa.
"Things are different now though, because you live with us"
"I guess that's true".Larissa looked over at Draco, who had already unwrapped a lot of his presents.
"Did you like the gift I got you?" Asked Larissa.
Draco turned to face her and pointed to the silver dragon broach, that was pinned to his clothes.
"I love it" answered Draco.
"I thought you would, you are a dragon afterall" reminded Larissa.
"Me and Lucius decided to wait for you to come down before we opened ours, but Draco didn't want to wait" sighed Narcissa.
"I don't mind him starting without me" replied Larissa.
"How were you able to buy any presents anyway?" Quizzed Narcissa curiously.
"I am allowed to leave the house from time to time, provided I am protected. I simply used magic to disguise myself when I went to Diagon Alley"."Was it wise to risk your life for something frivolous like Christmas presents?" Questioned Lucius.
"I wanted to buy you all lavish gifts, to show how grateful I am to you for letting me into your home" admitted Larissa.
"It's a pleasure to have you and the dark lord in our home" insisted Narcissa.
"Thanks. Now, lets stop wasting time, and open these presents" announced Larissa.Larissa opened many beautiful and expensive gifts from the Malfoy's. But there was one present in the pile that had a different wrapping paper.
She immediately recognised Sirius's writing on the tag and placed the present inside her pocket when no one was looking.
Larissa didn't want anyone to know that she was in contact with Sirius. So she planned on opening his present once she was alone in her room.
And once she was by herself, she unwrapped her gift and found that Sirius had sent her a small photo frame containing a picture of the two of them before Larissa had gone off to Hogwarts and started separating herself from Sirius.Larissa held the photo to her chest as a tear ran down her face.
She prayed that there was a way for them both to make it out of the war alive, so that they could reconnect and rekindle their friendship. But she was afraid that the war would take both of their lives before it concluded.
The Black family hadn't done very well in the wars so far, and Larissa was convinced that her families bad luck would continue.
