kumiho looked around for a moment, concerned. everything happened so fast just a minute ago. she was just walking alongside miyo at the corridor until someone—or something started chasing them

she remembered holding the shorter girl's hand in an iron-grip before her hands slipped, losing miyo in the process

she rips her jacket off herself and tied it around her waist as she made her way down the hall

❝ where did she go..? ❞, she whispers, ❝ miyo? ❞

❝ oi miyo! where ar— ❞, stopping momentarily, she felt hot air hit her expose neck. shivers ran up her spine, the hairs on her skin rising up when something cold slides down her back

slowly glancing back, her eyes met the same crimson eyes she saw earlier with miyo. he was towering over her, hood blocking his identity and before she knows it, he has her over his shoulder

❝ k—umi..you need to run! ❞

she looked to her side, making eye contact with miyo. fear was evident in her eyes as she reach out for her

❝ hey.. ❞, kumiho rubbed her thumb over miyo's knuckles in hopes of calming her down, ❝ everything's fine, gorgeous. just relax for me and i'll find a way out for us ❞

the male tightened his hold as a signal for them to be quiet

❝ i'm sorry ❞, miyo whimpered softly, nails digging into kumiho's palms, drawing a speck of blood

❝ what?— ❞

before she knows it, miyo lets out a blood-curdling scream that reached out the whole area

that was enough to catch the ears of a certain member

❝ what do you mean they're gone? ❞

the boys, all situated in kuga's room, stared at gai like he grew two heads

the poor monkey took huge gulp of air with both hands on his knees, ❝ i'm positive of what i heard and i'm pretty sure they've been kidnapped—i swear, i'm not lying! ❞

lonky scoffed out a laugh, earning a small glare from gai

❝ now's not the time to laugh at a situation like this lonky ❞

he didn't listen as his laughter echoed throughout the small room. tears gathered under his eyes as he slowly calmed down before he informed them that this could possibly be one of charming gold's surprise game just like the last one

❝ you got any of their belongings from the hallway? ❞, liu asked him, receiving a nod

gai pulled out a pair of gloves and a bandage from his pocket and hands it to liu

❝ wait a second ❞, lonky piped in, ❝ aren't those kuga's?—i knew it, he's the traitor! ❞

the others shut down his accusation, knowing full well he wouldn't do this to the girls and leave his most prized possession—his gloves—out in the open

just then, a distant scream could be heard from outside the door

❝ that sounds like— ❞

❝ popo! ❞, lonky exclaimed and rushed out with the others following after

upon entering popo's room, he seems to be missing and cards were all sprawled out on the floor, literally sparked out like a murder scene

❝ holy hell..look at all the mess ❞, lonky muttered with a frown

❝ guys—come look at this! ❞, they heard liu's voice from outside the room

they followed him and noticed a black hole right in front of them

it looked like the one in the games they played where it drags them back to the room once eliminated

gai and liu shared a look and nodded. they hopped into the dark tunnel, leaving lonky on his own much to his dismay

❝ seriously, leaving a prince on his own with a possible threat is disgraceful ❞, he rolled his eyes and stepped away from the hole

unfortunately, as he was about to exit the hallway, the door slams shut right in his face, leaving him stranded alone in the dark corridor

❝ you've got to be kidding me! ❞, frustration laced through his voice, ❝ if i ever lay my hands on those two, i'm going to— ❞

the words got stuck in his throat when ragged breathing hits his neck, the hot breathe caused the fur on his skin to stand

the last thing he remembered was crimson red eyes piercing into his soul
