It was sudden.

Unexpected.

When it happened.

"BROTHER!" Thor had entered Loki's chamber's without warning. Allowing Loki to quickly flinch away from his spell.... Hitting himself in the process. Loki fell backwards from his spot on the edge of the bed, toppling over onto his stomach.

"Brother?" What followed the loud voice that belonged to Thor was nothing but silence. "Loki? You better not be fooling me once again?" Thor poked at his brother's shoulder. Nothing. Had he hit his head? Thor had wondered, perhaps.

Thor came to the conclusion that his brother was, in fact, alive. However unconscious. Sweeping the younger god into his arms the blond made his way down to the 'medbay' as the others had called it.

"Friends?" Thor asked no one in particular. Bruce was sitting with Tony and Clint in the corner of the medbay. Clint with a small cast on his wrist. Eating some blueberries and other small foods.

"Thor, what did you do?" Bruce got up and into action. Already checking over the young god.

"I merely walked into his room and when I did he fell over, he was practicing magic and-"

"Point Break you're loud. You probably startled him," Tony deadpanned. He helped Bruce as they looked over Loki, examining.

"I mean, there's nothing physically wrong with him from what we can tell. Hopefully he'll wake up soon though. I don't understand magic, Thor."

"Then I shall wait until he wakes up." Thor planted himself on a chair across from the bed. "Just as I have before." It didn't take long for Loki to wake, although what happened was unexpected...

"Wha-"

"Brother you're awake!" Thor jumped up and wrapped his arms around his brother.

"Get off of me!" Loki pushed back. There was a pause of silence as Loki looked at them all with a confused look plastered on his face. "Who are you?"

They all ushered out of the medbay- without Loki.

"Thor what the fuck did you do?"

"Do not punish me for nothing. I did no wrong."

"Check Loki's bedroom to see what spell he might've been using. We may not understand magic but let's see what we can figure out on our own," Bruce suggested. Thor ran upstairs and came back within a few minutes. Holding an old spellbook of sorts written in what appeared to humans as Norse Runes, unreadable and difficult to understand.

"These spells, I can't translate for you... but I know someone who can. Y/n, she's an old friend of ours. She worked alongside Loki when he was being taught these spells as children. Hopefully she can help."

Thor soon returned with a young lady, dressed in a long silky light green dress. With small golden stitches and designs on the bodice that made it look like a corset. Simple and not too attention grabbing compared to Thor and Loki's usual wear.

"You must be Thor's friends, I'm Y/n. An... old friend of theirs."

"Tony."

"Uh, I'm Bruce. So uh, how can you, help?"

"Well Loki isn't the only one with magic. I'll undo the spell with ease."

"Great! Well, uh I'll show you to him?"

And so she approached him and found the problem. However it wasn't an easy fix, it would go away on it's own. In a couple days time. She approached them once more and gave them the needed information. Thor gave her a hug in exchange before she left promptly to Asgard-their home.

Normally, according to Y/n, the person subjected to these kinds of spells are returned home and are under care of their family or close companions to guide them. She continued on saying that oftentimes the person will feel extreme anxiety and stress due to their forgotten lives and in some cases paranoid.

So now, the brothers were sitting across from each other in Loki's room in almost complete silence.

"This is my room?" Loki asked quietly, almost hesitant. He glanced around the room. His eyes landed on his belongings and examined them.

"Yes, we live here, all of us together."

"Why?"

"Because we, my friends and I are heroes of this world. We avenge it together," Thor responded proudly. Although the situation was distressing the accomplishments the team had made as well as prior victories had made him smile.

"Then why am I here?" The question changed his mood rapidly. Thor wasn't sure if he should even mention it.

"That's more complicated," He spoke hesitantly.

"Then tell me, I can handle it," Loki sat opposite of him with his torso straight upward as if attempting to appear bigger although it was obvious Thor was the brawner of the duo.

"Something happened, an incident of sorts. Under some sort of trance you had attacked this world. I joined their fighters in order to take you home. We did so and I tried. I failed you, I failed to protect you."

"I don't remember...anything; however, one thing I'm sure of is that you've been nothing but kind and patient with me. I wish to express my appreciation for you. I have only been around you for a short period of time with my reconfigured memories but you have earned my trust. You may have failed in your eyes but what about mine? In my eyes you've done everything you can and become a- protector. Someone I could trust with my life even. You're my brother so we love each other unconditionally, yes?"

"Unconditional, indeed. I suggest sleeping for the time being. I've heard from the Man of Iron and Banner that sleep helps a person to heal."
