Part 2 Worries

Luhan's POV

I headed to my mother's room and accompanied her, since she's really sick. We can't afford medicine or go to the hospital to let her be cured, because we just managed to pay the lease of our appartment and a living.

My parents divorced and maybe was one of the reason why my mother is in this kind of condition. I left with my mother and I don't contact my father anymore since he's his own family to take care of. He wouldn't even be worried when he hears in what of situation we are. But even if he sends money or help, we won't accept it. That's what I promised my mother. I don't have the intention to meet him, because it isn't necessary to me. The father-and-son-relationship wasn't that good, but he did a great job as a father figure, before we left.

To earn some money, I applied for jobs and managed to get hired in a small restaurant. And since I met Meiling, I think that no one or nothing can stop me now. I'd go to work with a bright smile on my face, just to see her smiling too. I work almost everyday after school and I'm realy grateful.

"Eomma, are you feeling a little better?" I asked worried. She looks pale and didn't eat enough the last few days. I'm really concerned about her health since she also doesn't go out for a walk.

"Ne, I'll recover soon, don't worry dear, I'll be fine" she replied with a reassuring smile. I know that it was a fake smile. I know that it wasn't alright. She just want to put up a brave face. It really hurts me to see her in this condition, but I'm doing my best to make her happy.

"You look pale" I said as I meassured her body temperature. I took a look and it showed 39 degrees Celsius. "Mom, you have fever" I said, looking at her.

"It'll be over soon, don't worry" she replied

"I'll make you some porridge and bring some water" I said to her as I headed to the kitchen. 

As I finished making porridge, I poured water in a glass and put everything on a tray. I brought it to her room and fed her some porridge carefully. After she finished eating, she seized my arm and signaled me to sit down next to her.

"Today was your first working day right?" she asked

"Ne" I answered. "How was it there?"

"I haven't been able to learn everything, but they would teach me step by step." I said as I continued "But don't worry about me, everything will be fine. Just look after your health first, okay eomma?"

"My adeul (son) is already a grown-up boy and I'm getting older by the day"

"Mom", I pleaded

"I hope you can find love again who will look after you when I'm not here" she said which startled me a little.

"Mom, you'll always be my priority and I'll forever stay by you side, so don't say that" I said as she held my hands and said "My dear, I want you to know that I'll always love you more than anyone and support the decisions you make, but I just don't want to see you suffer because of me. I want you to marry a great and caring girl to build up a family with" she said as I started to get teary 

"Eomma.." I said once again

"Rest well, tomorrow you're going to school. I hung your uniform in you wardrobe"

"Ne, rest well too" I replied. I went off to my room, washed up and went straight to my bed.

The next morning I woke up, the sun shone right into my room. I got up, washed myself and dressed up. I went down the stairs and made breakfast. After finishing my plate I went to my mother before I went out, to say goodbye.
