Part 5 Bring up the past

"Then why don't you tell her?" Baekhyun asked

My mind went blank, I really had no idea why I didn't confess to her earlier or told her that I was waiting for her. But if I bring our memories back, it'll only hurt her. I don't want her to be hurt, not again. So the best way to keep seeing her is just to be her friend. I don't think I can endure the pain too. I don't think there's a day that I don't think about her, asking myself if she's alright and happy. But right now I should be happy for her right? Can I do that?

"I don't want to hurt her again", I said sincerely, holding my tears in

"So If you hurt her, I won't be easy on you", I continued

End Luhan's POV

Meiling's POV

As Luhan walked away I wanted to follow him since I was curious. He looked a little sad, that's why.

As I turned the corner where Luhan went to, I froze, because I saw Luhan and Baekhyun. I didn't hear what they were saying so I went closer to them, still hiding behind a wall around the corner.

"It's because she likes you?", I heard Luhan say to Baekhyun. I widened my eyes as I listened further.

"So what, you want me to date her?" Baekhyun said, smirking

"Yes" Luhan replied quickly. What? What is he doing? Why is he saying that? What does he want?

"Why would I date a girl like her? I don't even like her or even know her", Baekhyun said. He's right, why would he date a girl like me? I'm not Taeyeon, I'm just an ordinary girl, plain and ugly. That's how I describe myself. I ignored the thoughts of it and looked at them once again.

"Just give her a chance", Luhan said. WHAT?!! Luhan? What are you doing?, you thought.

"I'll think about it, just delete those photos", Baekhyun said. What photos? Is there something going on?

"But, one question..why do you care so much about her?" he asked

"I want her to be happy. I want her to smile everyday like before. Her smile could make everyone else smile. Even if I think about her, my lips would curve." Luhan said

"What do you mean before?" Baekhyun asked as I looked confused and narrowed my eyebrows.

"She had an accident. It caused amnesia. She lost the majority of her memories and she even forgot the names of her friends, including me. That was the hardest time I'd been through. After months she recovered and slowly remembered certain things, but the doctor told me not to bring up memories. He also said that the last person she met shouldn't talk to her and bring their memories back, not that time, because she would get severe headache. So I moved away with my mother. She became very ill and needed me. I didn't have the time to meet MeiLing or even be with her. Now, that I'm back I see that she also moved on. She fell in love with you, so all I want you to do is to make her happy. If you don't, I'll make your life miserable" Luhan warned him.
