Little Friend found himself instantly in trouble. The garden was large with new foliage from every type of plant in the 9 realms. There was a beautiful tree in the middle and benches along the side. It wasn't long after arriving that, Little friend easily squirmed out of my arm and under the leaves of the nearest bush.

"Son of a . . . "was all I could say as I set the books on the bench and chased him. I could hear his pudgy body brush against the underbrush of the garden. He got very quiet when he got close to a hedge. It was a rather talk wall of foliage that neither of us could climb. He looked at me towards me and held his finger to his empty pit of a mouth. He was a slippery bugger and very sneaky. He was growing into his own. I knelt down and he pulled a at the leaves a little. There was Frigg and a shadow of a figure I had seen so many times before New York was destroyed. Before my whole life was changed. I grew angry and my skin felt hot. There was the man who killed my friends, broke my life in a thousand pieces and Frigg, my teacher was sitting there having a conversation with him. Little Friend reached for my hand but pulled his away as he touched my fingers. He touched my hair instead and gently brushed through it trying to calm me. While I wanted to burn down the whole garden, we sat behind the hedge for a while over-hearing their conversation. Frigg sat there, gently reached for him, but he only turned away. He was hollow, thin, almost sickly.

"Just come home with the cube. I am sure Odin will forgive you and give you a lighter punishment" Frigg said, again reaching for him. He pulled away, running his hand through his hair, he turned from her. "Things didn't go well and families like ours have these fights all the time. Loki come home and I will talk to him on your behalf."

"You could do nothing but anger him and give me a worst sentence. I have the cube and I have power enough. I don't need father. I don't need Thor, his crones, and I certainly don't need anyone else here." He spat. His anger getting the best of him. He was an emotional monster, and the air was thick with pain. If he hadn't killed most of my friends, I might have actually pitied his plight.

"Not even your mother?" She asked gently. She was hurting from his words.

"Did you birth me? Did you lie with him and have me in marriage or was I just another project that Odin gave you to play with in your spare time?" He asked accusingly as if he was the one in power.

Frig went silent for a moment, but soon said "A mother's love is not just in marriage or in the womb. You were a gift from the universe, and I am blessed to have two sons. Thor, I birthed, and he was raised by Odin, you I was given, and I raised you in my arts and my ways. Remember who gave you life and taught you." She said sitting on the bench as a silvery tear traced the curves of her face.

I watched on while the argued, but of course my travel companion couldn't leave these two to discuss family business. Little friend ran through the grass, scaring several Asgardian bunnies, and punched Loki's leg and quickly ran to Frigg's side to hug her. She smiled when she saw him and looked at the bushes he had just came from. Loki follow her eyes and glanced to the bushes where I was still crouched behind. "Don't think that I can't hear you, mortal. I could sense and smell your stink and lacking abilities anywhere in the 9 realms. I can feel your fear coursing through your veins and hear your heat beat. Come here you wrecked beast, showing me what you have learned. Show me what makes you worthy on my mother." He bit, out turning to the hedges. His outstretched hand beckoning me forward.

I stood up and walked towards Frigg, right past him. While the world commanded me to be the bigger person, I couldn't help but punch him. It felt good to watch him fall in surprise. I turned away and walked to Frigg with the books and to collect Little Friend. He still sat there holding her hand.

I knelted down and whispered in his ear just low enough that only Frigg and him could hear, "We will definitely be talking about this later tonight." She giggled and nodded understanding my meaning.

"Loki, come here and meet my new student. (your name) was born on midgard but isn't midgardian. There is something else in (your pronoun), but we haven't determined what it is. Maybe you can give me your opinion since you know more about the races within the Nine Realms." She said nodding to me.

"I am sure your project there is enough to keep you busy in my absence, thought I don't think (your pronoun) is really ready for an introduction to me." He said slowly standing looking over to me.

"I would say it's a pleasure but see you makes me want to vomit. Come on Little Friend, we should go back home. Frigg, are there any more books that I can borrow?" I said turning towards her.

"Here," she said tapping the stack next to her the bench. "But I would like to see your skills so far. Come now, show me what you can do." She chided giving a warm, motherly smile.

"I only know healing from the books and practice on Earth." I said looking only at her.

"I know and there is your first victim. Go and diagnosis healer." She said pointing and nodding to me.

"Just me, most of his problem is a result of a shitty childhood, terrible decisions and a cocky attitude." I said looking at Frigg. She smiled and nodded and Loki snickered.

"Please double check that he is alright." She whispered to me. I nodded, but I was unhappy about it.

"Come on little nurse, show me how messed up I am" he snickered as I approached. Instead of asking his symptoms or to lay down, I opted for kicking his legs out from under him. I am sure in New York, this wouldn't have worked, but he was slow, broken, and hardly able to defend himself.

I knelt down and smiled at him. "This might hurt, but I am sure you'll be okay." I grabbed his hand and followed the book's instruction. I followed each part of his astro projected body that I could see in my mind. My slipped from me and I felt it all of his mind. Mostly rage, but there pain. Pain from distrust which lead to pain and fear of likely abandonment. He jerked against me and a small hiss, almost a whimper escaped his mouth. It was kinda nice to know he could feel some pain.

I opened my eyes. He looked at me wide eyes. "Let go of me" was all he said. I dropped his hand and noticed the burn marks on his hand. I wanted to apologize but it would have been a lie.

"(your pronoun) is half valkyrie, half dark volur." He said looking me up and down. Apparently, he disapproved greatly.

I turned to Frigg who nodded her head. She seemed thrilled but also concerned. "And he?"

"He has Seidr exhaustion, a few fractures, dehydration, malnurturion, and probably some stomach bug. He isn't Asgardian or Midgardian. His astro projection was bright blue and cold. He is a frostgaint, isn't he?"
