The Path to Hell

Parachuting in the dark into a place that looks like Hell might sound cool but it sucked. The timing and specifics just to make the jump was hard enough. The terrian was hard to navigate and was jagged from crushed building, destroyed forest area, and the rubble remains of a culture that couldn't take any more shocks. Once the trip, fall and landing was done we sounded off and then headed to the hospital tent to figure out how to help.

"We need someone to bring in the wounded. Who has the best hands to fix difficult patients with extreme injuries?" the head surgeron and nurse called out to us.

"(your name), here is the best. Take her and she will be able to help you more than we can. We will attend those who have injuries that don't require extreme medical intervention. Your group has done a great job." My captian called out. Those were the marching orders and we had no choice. We had dying patients.

I sprinted to the tend and made it just in time to strip into only the necessary clothes. My book and pack was stored for me. This was going to be hell and I hadn't even slept. This was indeed a new level, realm, and dwelling of Hell that even Dante had not thought of.

18 hours of translating, surgery, and recovery nursing. I finally sat when most of the patients were in recovery. My hands were stained with Iodine and blood. It was meatball surgery and it was horrific. I wanted to throw up and cry. There were a lot of children, women and animals that weren't going to make it. Those who made it to the helicarriers were mostly fine but those left on the ground or left in the aftermath were screwed. As a people, their recovery was going to be a long and hard one. I shook my head and sat in the air for a bit.

Most of the patients left had minor wounds and need more comfort than real medical attention. As I sat in the air, a little girl passed me with her mother and little brother. They had been next to their father when he had come in. He was a lucky one that could potentially survive his injuries. A femur broken in 4 places, several deep lacerations and dehydration. Overall, one of the less complex cases but still a long recovery. I hoped that Stark would help fund the medical team and the needs since he caused this hot mess.

The little girl took my hands and her brother hugged me. I lead them to the recovery building and left them to see their father. She crept up behind me and handed me a broken flower she had picked. It was a common weed but it was still alive after all that had happened. I smiled and gave her a wink as I took it and turned it into a poppy. I smiled and handed back to her. She gave me a strong hug and that told me all the things she was trying to say. It was a thank you. A truly grateful child that had her family back after a disaster, a tragedy. I walked out of the room and centered myself. I focused all my anger and pressed my hand to the ground. Soon their were plants of all sorts popping up. Roots, flower, stalks of all size shot out of the ground and there was peace again. The pain lifted just a little bit, but it was worth it. There was food, there was beauty and there was nature which gave hope. I opened my eyes to see several figures. Thor I recongized from the garden, Stark and Captian America stood next to him. The last to arrive was a floating man. I swayed as my vision streaked and I called out to the darkness "Loki."

There was an audible almost broken hum. It was like before. A dark engine room that smelt terrible, and felt even worst. There he was chained with a hot vent under him. He looked a hell of a lot worst than when he was on Asgard.

"Loki?" I asked fully know it was him.

"Don't ask stupid questions. I don't have much time witch" he spat.

"Temper." I chided in which didn't help. He was always so grumpy

"I am having a hard time locating you and I am trying to get a message to Thor and his crones." He said more aggressively.

"Where are you? Frigg and I have been trying to locate you since that night."

"Well you sent me where all rejected objects go. You sent me to a planet called Nowhere. Fitting because it was quiet enough to get healed. I went back to find the tesseract and when I did I stopped by Jotunheim only to discovered my mother's people slaughter, the libraries burnt to the ground and the buildings collasped."

"Ohh" was all I could say. It was a lot to take in.

"From there I have been found and taken. I was captured by Thanos and he will soon kill me if I do not produce the stone. While I know we are not friends, I am asking for you to come to my add as one who belongs with those with seidr. My mother would want this, please call upon her for me. Please help Thor find me. Its my last request to atleast return my body to Asgard."

"Why should I believe you?" I asked. He was a murderer and rude, He did nothing for me and I didn't deserve to be his messenger.

"You are getting this because Frigg linked us in Asgard. She has doomed us to help each other as long as we call in need. You called to me and I found your voice in the cosmos. Check the books, but it has happened many times in many histories and fictions."

"Loki, show me." I said walking over to him and grasping his face with my astro form I saw through his eyes. The worlds burned worst than the city I was in. Ashes and bodies everywhere with mourners cries breaking the silence of the new barren and broken world. It wasn't just Earth but every planet, even Asgard. Everything wiped out by half even the animals.

"Oh gods of Vallahalla."

"That is what awaits us all. Please find me and save the worlds we know. Do it for Frigg if nothing else. Tell her I'm sorry. Please she has to know I never meant my words."

"Loki" I called out as I started drifting. My form flickered and faded. His screams as the engine roar and the steam rose.

"Wake up and remember. Wake up and find me" was all he said and I woke up to a blonde over grown man shaking me hard by the shoulders.
