Friendly Meetings

After eating double our weight in soup, Wanda and I took a stroll through the compound. She gladly let me sit and rest. It was a large compound and with hardly any sleep, it was hard to keep up. Wanda and I soon met Hawkeye and Black Widow. I smiled and nodded to both of them. I hadn't met them before so Wanda introduced us. It was mostly simple nods but nothing asked. I am sure that they were spying constantly on me to make sure that I wasn't a threat.

"Hey here is Thor." She said pointing to the blonde who was walking like he had a mission.

"Lady Wanda." He said giving her a nod. " (lady, lord, general) (your name), it is a pleasure to see you up and recovered. I am sure that you witches had befriended each other. I do have to steal you to take you to meet someone. I apologize for stealing your walking companion, lady Wanda." He said with a nod.

I followed him and hope to all the Gods to ever exist that it wasn't another Asgardian. Well, I got my wish it was not one Asgardian but three. Frigg, Odin, and a talk man with a sword. I hugged Frigg and smiled glad to see a familiar face that cared. "You know Odin and Frigg my father and mother. This is Hemidall, he knows all the laws, traditions, culture and rules of Asgard. Frigg has made peace between Odin and you. He knows of your connection and your future with Loki" he said but before he could continue Odin interupted.

"I never wanted my sons to fight for the crown. One was to rule the kingdom of Asgard and the other was to make an alliance and rule Jotunheim. With the Jotun gone, there is nothing to rule but a kingdom of ice. My sons must marry royal blood and Thor is set to resign the throne in order to continue his courting with Lady Jane. If, in the event he marries her, he will inherite Midgard to protect and rule. Loki then becomes rightful king in the event that I die. You are part Volur and Valkeryie, a mixed of two noble people that have long lived beside each other. Two races very close to dying out completely. Loki is in a similar issue. He is the last of his kind. You would be tasked mostly to balance the nature of the world orders. You would be tasked to create a new race. Trust me its not hard until you have to teach them. Frigg would supervise and Thor would be working with you all to help figure out the future of our people. All those not midgardian."

Hemidal spoke up. "Asgardian tradition demands that cosmic alliances and fate designs to be signed in blood when the king is made aware. I apologize but as Loki is still missing, we will have to get your inducted into the royal court and caught up on current affairs of the Nine Realms."

I nodded and looked at Frigg. She gave me a smile and nodded back to me. This was the way to protect Asgard, to find Loki and save his life. Along with giving Thor the freedom he wanted to date and marry Jane. They were the talk Twitter when I could connect to the Internet. I felt sick to my stomach and exhausted and yet here was one more thing to add to my plate.

"Hemidal, what must I do?" I asked quietly. He looked at me and shook his head.

"Odin and Frigg and Thor take (your name) and place your hand on (your pronoun). Odin place your hand on (your pronoun) head, Thor and Frigg plac your hands on (your pronoun) shoulders. (Your name) repeat after me" He said and soon I felt a current of energy flow between all three of us.

"I, (your name), do solemnly swear to define Asgard and her people with every breath of my body and fiber of my soul" I repeat him feeling the bond grow stronger and the energy grow hotter.

"I will use my seidr as a Volur withc to protect and never attack my people, the royal court, the members of my family, or the Asgardinan people" I repaeted and look at Frig who gave me a wink.

"I will define and honor the most acient laws, rules, ways of life and traditions of Asgard. Promising to define against Ragnarok and every mighty enemy both domestic and foreign. That I willingly will sacarifce all that I have for the well being of my Aesir and Asgardian family. That you will honor the royal family in combat in healing and to give all you have to protect the interests of all those under your protection until you die and meet Odin in Vallahalla." I repeated. The current of energy getting more overwhelming and hotter. I was starting to sweat.

"Stick out your hand." Hemidal said and I stuck out my left hand. Taking the sword in his hand he cut my palm which took a while to bleed. He took my bleeding hand and dragged it down the blade. "Every royal has bleed on this sword. It binds our people together and opens the Bi-frost to the worlds within our protection. You and your bloodline will also be tied to this custom. Your promise to protect and rule the Asgardian people has been accepted. We will take your blood to Asgard and fasten you armour and weapons as is our custom." He said excited to see something newly forged.

Frigg, Odin and Thor let go of me. Thor happily hugged me. "I am so excited to have another sibling"

Frigg giggled and Odin looked ready to return to Asgard. "My children," he said looking towards us. "What is your plan to retrieve Loki?" it was interesting to see Odin care about Loki and his life.

"Well according to the message Loki gave us, we need to find Winter's stars and follow the map from there." Thor spoke up.

"(your name), when you get to the star then follow your feelings. Your feelings and pain will bring you closer. If you can feel his pain then you are close to finding him. Its going to be painful but It's the quickest way."

I nodded and then there was knock on the door. It was Vision and he nodded to Thor and that was our signal to leave and it was unwise to follow it.

"Don't be a stranger. I have a new child and I don't want you to be ignoring me like they tend to do. Please call to me and I will find you." She said to me and I embraced her. I was tired of being alone and feeling like an island. I placed her hand on my temple and shared my past few days. We stood there not saying a word. The world was silent and the memories of fear and loathing melted away. Duty, honor, respect and fate. All things important to Volur and the Valkeyie. I had my place, a new family, a people, and member to find. I left with Thor and ran into the briefing meeting. Thor cover the general information of Loki and the plan to go rescue him. It wasn't the best sounding plan because it was all the things Frigg had told us which was mostly vage. I looked at Thor and tried to imagine how in the world we were going to start this mission let alone be successful. There was a limited window for error and we had to leave soon. Loki didn't have much time left in the condition he was in. Puke and all, I was a 10 compared to Loki in the engine room of the ship.
