Chapter 7.

Lena's pov

Kara and Clark left for the fortress leaving me alone with Lois. It felt weird to be away from Kara she has been at my side for almost half a year now. She had never taken a day off or been swapped out. There seemed to be a pain in my stomach when she left like I was missing something dear to me.

I sat on Kent's sofa whilst reading a book I had brought with me about a lesbian romance. I had never read about lesbians before however I felt slightly connected to them some how. I had never been in love before and I have never even thought about being a lesbian. Everything the main protagonist was saying about her love reminded me of Kara.

As Lois came into the room I asked. "Lois, how did you know you were inlove with Clark." Lois smiled and sat down next to me. "Is this about Kara?" She asked a little in my space. "Perhaps, I was just reading a lesbian love story and a lot of what she is saying reminds me of Kara." Lois smiled and said, "Well when I met Clark he was so shy and he made me laugh, we were friends first and I guess my love for him just grew over time, so when he confessed to me I was very happy and I had butterflies for the longest time."

I smiled and nodded my head as a Thankyou before I carried on reading. When I thought of something amazing. "I should do something for her." Lois smiled and nodded so I thought about what I could do. "I do not know what to do." I said before asking Lois. "How would you like to move into the Palace so Clark and Kara can see eachother more often?" Lois smiled and nodded her head. "We would love that."

Just the Clark and Kara flew into the living room via the window. "Hello Lena." Kara smiled and it made me feel bubbles inside. I looked to Lois and she smiled at me before trying not to laugh. "Hello Kara." I smiled and sat next to me. "Well Kara, Lois and I were talking and I would love it if Clark and Lois moved into the Palace." Both Clark and Kara smiles grew by ten times. "Of course we will!" Clark said as held Lois. Kara pulled me in close. I was so happy that she could express herself now, no more blank slate.

Kara and Clark flew us back home and then went back for everything else. They looked exhausted so I showed the couple to their room before informing Captain Danvers that we had two new guests and to project them as much as her guards protect myself.

I looked to Kara who smiled before I hugged her and we just stood there holding eachother. "Thankyou so much Lena." Kara smiled. Our hug was broken up however by Eve rushing in to give me all of my work I had not completed because of the trip. "Well duty as a queen calls." I sighed before we head towards my office. Kara sat next to me as I scanned through multiple letters and trade documents. "Your Highness it is almost midnight." Eve said trying not to yawn. I did not even look up when I answered. "You have my leave to go, Eve." She did not put up any fight so I was then left with just Kara.

Kara smiled at me when I looked at her. "What is that smile about?" I asked which made me smile. "I am not sure Lena, you just make me want to smile." I felt Kara's hand slide onto my own before she pulled away suddenly. "I am so sorry your Highness I do not know what came over me." I sighed and shook my head, Kara sat down on a sofa by the window so I got up and followed her asking. "Why did you pull away?" Kara shook her head and looked toward me with tears in her eyes. "I am your body guard, fist and foremost, I will not let silly emotions get in the way of my work." I freaked out in my head however all my body did was pull Kara's chin towards my lips before I kissed her and pulled away smiling. Kara smiled back before chasing my lips and kissing me again.
