Sunday

The group of four excitedly make their way back to Hyunmi's apartment, stopping at the store to buy snacks and drinks on the way. Wooyoung ended up paying for them after a little argument with Hyunmi, who felt guilty that her guest had to pay for the snacks.

Once they finally enter her apartment, the first thing Hyunmi does is run to her room while the men enter her living room to set up the movie.

The girl rejoins the men, her face covered by a large puffy object in her arms.

"You brought blankets!" San and Yeosang simultaneously shout, dashing to her side to take the pile of blankets from her, allowing her to see again. She smiles brightly at them, delighted to see them wrap up in the blankets on her couch. At least they're not freezing in a stubborn attempt to look strong now.

"You brought a blanket for yourself and not for me?" Wooyoung pouts playfully, eyeing the last blanket that lies beside the other men. While San and Yeosang get smaller blankets each, a bigger one lays vacant.

Hyunmi shyly plays with her fingers. "I didn't have any more blankets so I thought we could share," she admits in a quiet voice.

Wooyoung's heart does a flip as he watches her and he turns his eyes away from her, perplexed by this unusually intense feeling.

"We picked a movie!" Yeosang calls to the pair, waving the TV remote around in his hand. Hyunmi snaps out of her trance and leaps onto the sofa, happily leaving the slightly awkward atmosphere from before. Wooyoung also halts his thoughts, deciding to push those feelings further to the back of his mind just to fully enjoy the moment.

He also skips to the girl's side and sits down comfortably. He doesn't hesitate to throw the blanket over them and cuddles up closer to her side, leaving her astonished. "W-What are you doing?" she wonders with a blush, eyes widened at how Wooyoung snuggles up to her shoulder while wrapped in the blanket.

"It's cold, nothing else," he smirks, staring only at the TV. She scoffs but smiles after, deciding to lean into him as well.

Finally paying attention to the TV, Wooyoung's eyebrows furrow. "Hey why did you put on romance! I hate this genre, put on a horror movie instead," he demands, glaring at Yeosang. His friend giggles evilly, well aware that Wooyoung dislikes romance movies with a passion. He finds them too cheesy and unrealistic, though Yeosang suspects that Wooyoung just simply can't empathize with those movies enough. His friend has never let himself fall in love before and disliked the thought of it, after all.

Wooyoung's head whips around when he feels light tugs on his sleeve from under the blanket. He shoots Hyunmi a puzzled look and a small smile sits on his lips as he observes her timid expression.

"I'm scared of horror though," she mumbles to him. Yeosang was about to change the movie but pauses in his actions when his ears pick up on the other two. "Which genre do you like then?" Wooyoung asks her.

"R-Romance. I really like this movie," she answers, unable to hide the excited grin on her face. Both San and Yeosang tune their ears into the quiet whispers of a conversation curiously, wondering how their friend will deal with this situation.

"Let's watch this movie then. I actually like romance too," he whispers to her, offering her a comforting pat on her hand. Yeosang's eyes widen and he shares a shocked glance with San.

Hyunmi's heart flutters when Wooyoung gently whispers to her before turning back to the TV. She doesn't forget the proximity between the two, the scalp of his fluffy head of hair fully visible to her as he presses his soft cheek onto her shoulder. He feels like a warm pillow and only now does the girl notice that his hands casually rest on top of hers, which sit on her lap. The gesture brings her an odd sense of comfort at the same time as making her chest feel tingly from the inside.
