Saturday

Days pass, and Hyunmi gets up to begin her day as usual today as well. It feels like the day Wooyoung and her cuddled on her couch was only yesterday, but in reality it's been five days. It's a bright Saturday morning and the girl feels energetic. Every day of the week has been normal, as if Monday night never happened. She misses his embrace and keeps meaning to bring it up with Wooyoung but forgets every time. Today will be the day though.

She gets ready earlier than usual, all alone this morning as Wooyoung decided to get up even earlier than the girl to spend some more time with his friends before they leave. San and Yeosang's flight will be soon and Hyunmi and Wooyoung decided to get up early to see them off.

The girl finishes washing and dressing up and makes her way to Wooyoung's apartment with a few boxes of chocolate and other small presents for the men and their families.

She notices that the door is unlocked and quietly walks in, not wanting to interrupt anything. As soon as she enters, she's met with loud chatter. It seems like everyone else is also energetic this morning.

"And you have to come for my daughter's birthday with Hyunmi next month," Yeosang demands his friend. Wooyoung rolls his eyes. "Yes, yes, and I'm guessing you're going to tell us to visit for New Year's next?" he sarcastically claims.

"No! Everyone is coming to my place for New Year's," San intervenes. Wooyoung laughs. "Well, Hyunmi and I can invite you guys too! Well, whenever we decide to move in together for good," he exclaims, adding the last part in a quieter voice.

As San and Yeosang coo at their friend's bold statement, Hyunmi burns up. Wooyoung wants to live with her? She can't even deny the fact that she wants to live with him for good too, but hearing that he shares the same desire as her makes her heart beat in an uncontrollable way.

She loudly ruffles the bag in her hand while walking towards the kitchen, hoping they realise she's here. The conversation in the kitchen comes to a halt and everyone's eyes widen when they see the girl walk in sheepishly. "Did you forget to lock the door?" San hisses to Wooyoung. The shocked man realises that the girl might have heard what he said and also starts to grow hot. "I-I guess so."

Feeling suffocated in the awkward atmosphere, Hyunmi presents one small paper bag to Yeosang and one bag to San. They accept the presents with puzzled expressions.

"Tell your wives I said hi," she shyly tells them, feeling weird to have those words coming out of her mouth. It just feels so strange to have friends to tell that to. Everything feels so real in the moment, and it feels so warm. "All of us have to meet more often in the future, we'll miss you guys," Hyunmi elaborates, trying to sound like she didn't hear everything they were talking about earlier on.

"We'll miss you too! I wish you guys they best of luck," Yeosang smiles warmly, adding a hint of a knowing smirk to Hyunmi. She whips her eyes away from him to avoid going beet red again. He's clearly wishing them luck with their relationship, but to avoid embarassment, she concludes that he just cares a lot about their progress at work and life.

The four share some more friendly moments together before it's finally time for the men to leave. They pull their luggage out with them while declining Wooyoung's offer for a lift, claiming that they already ordered a taxi.

Hyunmi feels her heart clench as she waves them off, already missing some of her only friends. But then she notices the time and realises she needs to still go to work.

"I'm going to go now, see you later!" she calls out to Wooyoung as she dashes to her front door to grab her bag. "I'll drive you!" Wooyoung shouts back. She returns a "Thanks!" as she sprints through her apartment in search of her bag and lip balm that Wooyoung gifted her.
