Damian arrived at the same time as yesterday. He didn't bring any gifts, and he just wants to talk to Maria and sit with her. But, he didn't expect he'd be given a gift.
Damian stared at Maria's outstretched hand and then at her smiling face. "You don't have to thank me, Maria," Damian said, making no move in taking the card. Maria's smile grew wider and stilled her arms that held the card.
"I don't need to, but I want to," she replied, not missing a beat.
Damian chuckled and took the card. "If you insist."
