I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night after Danielle and I kissed.

I texted her 'I'm home' right after I entered my flat and waited for her to reply. However, unsurprisingly, she never did.

I wanted to talk to someone about it, but I didn't think it'd be career-wise since Danielle was my boss, and I wasn't sure if she'd file a sexual harassment complaint against me.

Nah, she wouldn't. She was too discreet to do that.

Still, I didn't tell anyone because if I did, I would probably have to mention my sex dreams about someone that wasn't Danielle but was definitely her.

Now, when I closed my eyes, the touch of Danielle lingered on my skin, along with the secure sensation from my dreams.

I couldn't really tell the difference anymore. They were both her. The other could possibly be from another spacetime if you believed in those things.

I finally make it to Monday (I've never been more relieved to go to work on a Monday), I leave for the office ten minutes earlier than usual, hoping to go in before her and make myself mentally prepared to face her.

I go into the empty office, sitting at my desk.

I'm gonna ask her what that kiss means.

It's okay if she wants to take it slow first, I've got time. It shouldn't be a problem anyway since we don't have a 'no dating' rule in the company.

I look at the clock on the wall impatiently and shift my eyes back to my laptop screen as if it'd make time goes faster.

When the clock hands strike at 8.40 am, the office door opens, and Danielle Osis walks in.

She freezes for a split second when her eyes meet mine. The surprise in her eyes soon is replaced by annoyance and coldness.

'Morning.' I say with a weak smile.

'Morning.' She says without looking at me, walking straight to her desk.

I sigh and gather my courage, standing up and walking to her side.

'I hope we can talk.' I say, looking up at her stone-cold face.

She takes a breath, continuing to pull her things out from her bag, 'There's nothing to talk about.'

I raise a brow. Dismissive much?

'Um, as I recall, there was something last Saturday night.' I remind her kindly.

She groans, looking straight ahead at the wall, 'We were drunk. It shouldn't have happened. End of story.'

What the heck bitch?

'But, Danielle-'

'Don't call me that.' She cuts me off, finally looking down into my eyes.

'I allowed you to call my first name that night only, afterwards, I'm Ms Osis, your boss.' Her blue eyes are covered in a sombre storm that I can't look past.

'Whatever happened back there, stays there. Don't ever mention it to a soul in the office. Got it?' She scowls, declaring in a stern but monotonous tone.

She's back to her distant bitchy self as if the person I met on Saturday was merely an imagination.

I gulp bitterly, averting my eyes from her face, only finding my voice back after a few seconds.
