I've been looking a lot forward to this boxing lesson since yesterday.

I don't know what came over Danielle Osis, but it was way over her normal teasing kind of meanness.

That is it. I truly have enough.

I'm going to box the remaining feelings I have for her the hell out of my system.

'Are you okay, Sage? You look like you're gonna kill someone.'

Luke peeks at me while stretching his legs.

'Yeah, it's just...work.' I mutter and put on the boxing gloves.

I jab a few times, familiarising myself with the weight and size of the gloves. It's been maybe a year since I box with equipment.

'Huh, work. You don't get this upset about work.' He holds the sandbag for me as I punch hard, 'Spill it, bitch.'

I give him a deadly glance, contemplating the pros and cons of telling him.

I really want to talk to someone, Luke is my bestie, and quoting my own words: It'll hurt less if I talk about it with someone.

It's not like Danielle and I are an item anyway.

'If I tell you, you have to swear to tell no one. That includes Chris.' Who unsurprisingly bailed on us to have a good time with her bed.

'Okay, I swear.' He puts his three fingers up.

'It's my boss.' I let out a breath, 'I kinda have a thing for her, and we kinda kissed, and...now I'm getting over her.'

'You what?'

He exclaims in a high-pitch voice and lets go of the sandbag.

It swings right into his face.

'Ouuuuuch!' He covers his nose and moans in pain.

'Gosh! Luke! Are you okay?'

I stabilise the sandbag and rush to his side with my towel.

'Is it bleeding? Does it still look perfect?'

He slowly takes away his hand for me to examine his face.

'Oh no, it's crooked!'

'What!' He storms to the mirror and finds his face perfectly fine, only a bit red.

'Shit, bitch! You scared me!'

I laugh at his dramatic manner so hard that I have to crouch down.

'Not funny! You know I make money with this.' He means his face.

'Sorry, dude. But you've made my day, surely.' I pat his arm with the boxing glove.

'Next time you're bomb dropping, please choose somewhere safe.'

'Okay, sorry.' I grimace at him.

'Let's talk after boxing, okay?'

I can see with the corner of my eyes that the coach is glaring at us.

'Of course.' I nod and head back onto the mat.

After the two-hour boxing lesson, Luke and I shower and head out to a café nearby.

'Okay, hit me.' Luke sits up straight.

'Again?' I ask playfully, earning an eye-roll from him.
