Ms Osis's POV:

'Here's your meeting schedule for next week, Ms Osis.'

I glance at Chris as she cautiously hands me the paper, 'Good. You can go now.' I dismiss her with a wave.

Although everything is digitalised now, I still like to keep a paper copy of my documents. Call me old-fashioned, I am just too smart to trust the Clouds.

'Okay. Bye, Ms Osis.' Chris says a bit too cheerfully.

I can see the relief on Chris's face and the envy on my new intern's when Chris walks past and gives her a grimace.

It's almost been a month since Sage Carlos started working in the Angus Arts. Honestly, she's been doing fine under my passive-aggressive attitude to my surprise.

But, her remarks and behaviours are sometimes annoying and stupid as hell that makes me want to fire her.

I still don't understand what benefits this experimental internship brings. Is it a way to torture me or the intern?

Well, I certainly hope it's the latter.

I'm actually not bored with her. There is something about Sage Carlos that continuously catches my attention.

Maybe it's her creepy-obvious stare, or her forever groaning, or the fact that she thinks I am not so bad.

Wasn't I tough enough on her?

I have to admit, I've felt oddly familiar with her since the greeting handshake.

The moment I touched her hand, it felt as if something clicked in the back of my head, which I chose to ignore.

My life is good right now, I don't need any complications.

However, intimidating Sage Carlos sure is fun. It's particularly pleasurable to see the frustration on her face after I catch her staring and give her more tasks.

I take the last sip of my tea to cover up my smirk, glancing at my intern who is impatiently waiting for the clock to strike 5 pm.

How about I fire you, so you never have to wait again?

I roll my eyes internally, restraining myself from crushing her young spirits on a Friday night.

I really am nice to her.

After every little minion leaves, I still have a board meeting with Richard, the CEO.

Not that I mind anyway, the only one waiting for me at home is my cat, Cherry.

I lie back into my leather chair and slide my feet out of my Jimmy Choo in the empty office.

I look at the clock on my laptop screen. Okay, ten minutes. I close my eyes and take a power nap.

I open the white patterns-carved door of my flat and am greeted by a loud meow.

'Hey, missing me much, kiddo?' I hang my coat onto the wall rack next to the entry as Cherry comes around and rubs her body against my trousers.

'Please don't get your fur all over my work clothes again.' I sigh and pick her up, putting her down on the velvet sofa. She lets out an unsatisfied sound.

'Wait for me a second.' I pat her head, go towards my bedroom and change into a tank top and shorts.

I walk towards the bar in my open kitchen, pouring myself a glass of red wine while examining the ingredients in my fridge.
