Truth Gets Out

Peter walked up the stairwell of Michelle's building. He was wiping his sweaty palms on his jeans with every step he took.

Peter is wearing jeans with a black t-shirt under a dark grey blazer.

He brushed off his nervous breath as he walked up to her apartment door. He raised his fists & knocked softly.

He knocked three times, going for a fourth, but Michelle answered the door.

Peter quickly looked her up & down, he noticed she was wearing a pair of jeans as well with a grey v-neck t-shirt.

"Hey, MJ", Peter said with an awkward smile on his face. He brushed his sweating palms over his jeans again & then stuck his hands in his pockets. "I know that I'm late, it's just that Pietro really needed my help with something & I told him that I'm supposed to be heading over here, but he insisted that I'd make it, but then we lost time & I didn't even leave until Eight o'clock... long story short, I'm sorry".

Pietro didn't really need Peter for anything, Peter was on patrol, he was trying to track down Mister Negative, but Pietro was helping him. Wanda & Vision would have been patrolling with them, but they were on a date.

"Peter, it's 8:04, how did you get over here so fast", Michelle asked as she stepped aside to allow Peter inside.

"Pietro ran me over", Peter said. Peter & Pietro did go back to the tower, Peter got himself ready for his non-sort of-date with Michelle & Pietro ran Peter to Michelle's apartment. "Sometimes there's a perk of having a brother with super speed".

"Pietro seriously carried you over here", Michelle asked? She was holding back a laugh.

"In his arms bridal style", Peter said. He walked around the room with his hands wrapped in each other. Peter wanted to change the subject. "So, I know that it's too late to go to the arcade, but we can still go to the restaurant before our movie that starts at Nine thirty".

"Yeah, we should really get going", Michelle said. She walked to the dining room & grabbed her jacket. "I assume we are walking since you don't have your car... unless Pietro is down stairs waiting for us".

Michelle walked back out with a short jean jacket. Michelle put her phone & wallet in the pockets as she walked up to Peter.

"He better not be, I've been humiliated enough tonight", Peter said. He & Michelle walked to the door, she opened it for him, locking it behind her as they both walked out.

They walked into the restaurant & took their seats.

"You look stunning tonight", Peter said as he took his seat.

"Thank you, you look great too", Michelle said. She briefly looked up from the menu to look at Peter, but quickly looked back down when their eyes met.

The waitress walked up to them, "Can I start you guys off with some drinks"?

"Just water for both of us", Michelle said. "Please & thank you".

"Alright, & does the couple know what they would like to order", the waitress asked? Peter & Michelle looked at each other.

"Oh... uh... um . . .", Peter started to say.

"We're actually not dating, we're just friends", Michelle said. She had a small blush in her cheeks, but a nervous smile on her face. She looked over to Peter & saw the joy get sucked out of his face.
