Cassie Valentine had always loved April 1st because it gave her a valid reason to prank her family and friends. Her brother Max was the only one who could ever see through her (the twin effect she supposed), so the prank would have to be on her friends.
She went off hospital grounds for lunch as something like this had to be well timed. Sitting in the corner table at Derry's, away from prying eyes, she browsed on her phone looking for the perfect image. It didn't take her long to find one; if this was real it was exactly the kind of ring she'd want. She wrote the caption with an evil smile and hit post.

Later that afternoon, she was completing her charts in the alcove near the 5th floor nurses' station. She had hoped to get a few more reactions to her post, but Max had nipped that in the bud. Still, it had been fun while it lasted.
When her phone pinged, she fished it out of her coat pocket with one hand while signing a chart with another. She put away the charts when she saw Ethan's name pop up her on her screen.
