Chapter 5

Seungmin's POV

I'm all set. I've prepared all of my traveling essentials: clothes, snacks, water, money, and most importantly, my new Journal. I'll just eat dinner when I set foot at Anthos, Mother told me that they make dishes out of this world. Tomorrow morning, I'll be departing from the town to my destination. I had to wait for a whole week because of a storm, it wasn't safe for me to travel at a harsh weather. All I need to do is rest and wait for the next day to arrive.

I was about to go to my bathroom when Denzel entered my room without my permission. I looked at him annoyingly and asked harshly, "Is entering rooms without other's approval your thing now?"

"No, I'm in a hurry. I have a question for you." He paused. "Are you eighteen yet?"

"In about 6 months, yes." I answered, wondering internally why.

"Okay, that's all I wanted to ask you anyway. Thank you." He said while leaving without any Goodbyes or waving of hand at all.

I finished cleaning myself and laid on the bed, focusing all my energy into sleeping. I began to feel the weight of my eyelids. I let them fall and slept peacefully like a baby.

Paracia's POV

I was busy working when someone knocked on my room. "Come in." I said, allowing whoever who's in the other side of the door to enter.

"Ma'am, in about 6 months, Seungmin will be eighteen. His other half is about to reveal itself." I recognized the voice and looked at him in the eyes. "I am aware. But, it won't show that much. So, there's no need to worry." I reassured, then an awkward silence broke out between us. Denzel was waiting for me to speak again while staring blankly at me.

"Tomorrow morning, prepare the fastest horse in our town. That will be the horse Seungmin's going to use." I ordered to him. He nodded and asked if he can leave. I nodded, approving his request. All this stress have took effect on me. I opened a drawer and held a flask. I drank, feeling the burning sensation of the alcohol down my throat. As I felt dizzy and vulnerable, I sat on my bed, feeling sleepy. I placed the flask on the nightstand and laid. I then felt the fairy of slumber wave its wand on my face and slept, waiting for the morning to arrive.

I escorted Seungmin at the end of the town. Denzel was holding the horse who also came with me. "Oh, boy! I'm so excited for you! Good luck on your travel!" I said while shedding a tear because of fear, sadness, and happiness. I felt Denzel roll his eyes but I didn't bother paying him attention, only focusing on the boy who's also very excited he's jumping. But, my smile faded when his eyes changed its color in a second, a red one. It came back but completely change the shade. Originally, Seungmin's eyes are dark brown, but it now turned into maroon. Its starting already, I said to myself.

"Uh, Mom. What's wrong?" Seungmin asked, concern on his face.

"Huh? Oh, nothing. Just remembered something. Anyway, be safe on your travel. Strictly follow the map. Remember, Seungmin, I love you." I said when he climbed up to the horse excitedly.

"Don't worry, Mom. I'll be safe." Seungmin said as he prepared himself.

"Oh, wait! I almost forgot!" I said hurriedly. I took out a potion and a bouquet of Roses in different colors, carefully wrapped with leaves and gave them to Seungmin.

"Are these gifts for me?" Seungmin said with a growing smile on his face.

"What? No, those aren't for you. Those are gifts for the Queen and the Prince. Give it to them when you see them. The potion is for the Queen and the Bouquet is for the Prince. Don't worry, this bouquet is called everlasting Roses, they are much durable and has a longer lifespan than regular roses." I said in all sentence, making Seungmin hurry.

"Goodbye, Seungmin." I smiled sadly, seeing the boy ride his horse, leaving the town. I watched him leave as his image become smaller by the second. Be safe.
