*Heather's POV*
"Those shoes look good," Harry suggests pointing to a pair of black high heels that I actually like. Why does he have to magically know what I like and don't like?
"Well, those are cute," I say and try to find a better pair desperately. I sigh. No luck. Those high heels are so adorable. I can't say no to them and they go with my dress perfectly.
"Do you want to get them?" he asks and I just smile.
"Fine," I respond and he smiles as well.
"Who knew you'd like what I like," he states and starts looking through the boxes under the display of the shoe.
"You actually like those shoes? You didn't just pick them out because you though I would like them?" I ask needing answers. If this boy is like me, how can I even resist liking him? He already has those green eyes that would make any girl melt instantly and those brown curly locks, they are so irresistible. How could any girl resist?
"Nope. I actually like these shoes. What size are you?" he asks looking at me and the only thing I can process is if he is serious.
"Size 9," I reply and he nods while searching for a size 9. "Do you like chick flicks?" I ask randomly and he looks confused, but decides to answer anyway.
"Yes I do. They are my favorite kinds of movies, actually," he responds and I take a deep breath. Maybe this guy might be worth going out with.
Don't get me wrong or anything, I would never go out with him. I need to save myself a heartache. I can't like him or else Rosie will kill me anyway.
"Here you go," he states with a charming smile and hands me the shoes in my size. I grab on to the box and try to pull it my way, but he doesn't let go.
"Harry?" I ask and he's zoned out. He's staring at me hopelessly and I stand there awkwardly. He said I was cute today. Does he like me? No. Impossible. He would never like me and why am I even caring?
"Oh sorry," he responds almost 10 seconds later while releasing the box. I let out a giggle. "Was that a giggle from a girl who strongly dislikes me?"
"Uh.." I stumble, but look down at my feet. I slip the shoes on so nothing happens with my feelings. I can't do this. He is just so darn cute standing there and I can't even do anything about it.
I stand up and trip, but only because I am having trouble gaining my balance. I can walk in high heels. Trust me.
When I trip, Harry catches me. "Whoa, hold on there, speedy," he states and I stare into his green eyes, still in his arms. He's holding me. Why won't he let go? He's sending tingles throughout my body and his lips are looking so irresistible. Why am I thinking about this? Why?
He starts leaning in, obviously having the same feelings as me. I can't let this happen. Not now. I barely even know the guy. "Ok," I say getting out of his arms and begin walking once more around the store to make sure the heels are perfect for Friday.
"You can definitely rock those heels," he compliments me and I blush. Why am I blushing at a compliment of his? No. I can't be falling for him. I just met him. No. I can't. Just please no.
"Thank you," I simply reply and take them off. "I'm buying them."
I take them off and slide them back into the box. When I pick up the box, Harry is standing only a few inches from me, our noses almost touching. "Do you maybe want to go on a date after you are done shopping for your dance?" he asks.
"Sure," I reply without even thinking. I regret that. Now all I will be thinking about is kissing his lips and just wanting him to be mine, but what if we have nothing else in common? I would've gotten myself in deep trouble.
"I thought you hated me," he simply states snapping me back into reality from my thinking.
"Well, things change," I respond and responding without thinking about what I am saying. This isn't good, isn't good at all. I need to stop.
"Well, we can definitely go to the Cheesecake Factory. The boys have it reserved for tonight at 8, but I am sure they won't mind one more guest," Harry suggests and I nod.
"May Chloe come as well? I don't want her to be standing outside awkwardly while we eat. That is so mean," I explain and he just chuckles.
"Of course. Besides, I think Niall would love that idea," he says pointing to Niall and Chloe talking and discussing shoes. "I think he's fallen in love. He would not stop talking about Chloe at all on our way here."
"They look cute together," I state noticing the obvious chemistry between the two of them.
"I thought you said they'll get hurt," Harry brings up what I said earlier.
"Oh, trust me, she will. He will, too. But, they are so in love and it's so annoying. She's going with Jake to the Spring Formal and when he finds out she likes someone else, especially someone who can have any girl he wants when Jake can barely get one girl, he's going to be upset and heartbroken. Wouldn't you rather want one person to be heartbroken instead of three?" I release my thoughts and Harry just stares at them with longing in his eyes.
"Why did you get so upset when I said to lighten up earlier?" he asks and I just look at my feet.
"That's what Rosie said to me and I just got reminded of the anger I felt," I reply honestly and for some reason, I told that to Harry quicker than I would tell that to anybody else. I don't know what it is, but I could just trust Harry better than anybody else.
"Who is Rosie?" he asks and I just stare at the ground.
"My greatest enemy of all time," I reply and he laughs.
"I see," he states and I laugh, too. It did sound so stupid when I said it.
"Whatever," I respond and he gets closer to me.
"I wish we started off like they did," Harry says staring at Niall and Chloe.
"What do you mean?" I ask and he just stares at me. I turn around only to be looking into the greenest eyes I've ever seen once more.
I can't help myself.
I step away from him and head over to Niall and Chloe.
"Hey," I begin and they look over at me startled.
"Hi," Chloe states and looks over at Niall. "Are you going to pull me away again?"
"Nope. I was wondering if you'd like to go to the Cheesecake Factory tonight," I suggest and she smiles.
"Sure," she replies and Niall looks over at her.
"We have the whole restaurant to ourselves. Let m guess, Harry invited you. Well, I guess it's my turn to invite a guest," he exclaims and looks at Chloe. "Do you want to go on a date with me tonight at 8?"
"Sure," she replies staring at him like a lovesick puppy. I can't stop what's happening between them and I guess I need to face the truth. Besides, I might be as guilty. I'm falling for Harry Styles.
