Who am I?
What will I become?
Why am I scared? But why won't I run?
Landon was the one who shook me awake. I groggily opened my eyes, to see we were parked outside my new apartment building.
I rubbed my eyes tiredly, and yawned. "How on Earth did I fall asleep?" The drive wasn't that long, and I hadn't even realized I was tired...
"Jake's music will do that." Said Landon with a shrug. I cracked a small grin, and began gathering my things together.
Ricky turned to me as I opened the door.
"See you later. I'll let you know if we have any other adventures in the future."
I nodded, smiling big. "Alright, I'll see you all later than?" I couldn't wait. In fact, this parting was more bitter than I'd thought it would be. I'd had so much fun with these guys...
"By Laur-star." Jake said, reaching his hand back for a quick fist bump.
"Glad to have a cool chick in our band!"
"Not band." I said to quickly. They all looked at me funny, and I blushed.
"Just friend group right? Unless y'all need a new drummer... Not the best but I can certainly try!"
They all laughed, even though my joke wasn't that funny. I got out of the car, sending them all one last wave.
As I turned toward the apartment building, I heaved a happy sigh.
This wasn't easy, my conflicted feelings, but still, it was sort of fun.

Aunt Marcy made me oatmeal again the next morning, and I quirked my brows at her.
"Is this all you eat then?"
She scowled back. "No. Sometimes I make toast."
"Toast and oatmeal? Very healthy."
"I put blueberries in my oat meal. And I order salad at work, so there."
"Then you binge eat junk food with me at night. Healthy."
"I'm still fit as a fiddle, so who's complaining?"
I laughed, for she'd made an excellent point.
"Fine. You're right on that front."
She nodded, and continued to dish the oatmeal in our bowls.
"How would you like to come into work with me today? Just for a small tour?"
I grinned, and nodded. It wasn't like I had anything better to do...

Later, I was being shown around Aunt Marcy's company; located in a three story building. There were multiple offices and work rooms, besides the actual "productivity" areas.
First, she showed me the lowest floor; the shipping department. There were bustling workers moving around, pulling clothes off lines of racks, and sticking them in small bins on wheeled carts.
On the other half of the room, a line of workers sat up to a long table, packaging the clothes as the others delivered them.
Aunt Marcy nudged my shoulder. "This is where you'd be, to start."
I smiled, liking the hustle and bustle of the room. It looked almost fun. There were mostly girls working, but some boys far and few between as well. I hoped to make a friends there.
"As an intern, will I really just be an employee?" I asked with a small teasing grin.
Aunt Marcy laughed. "Well, yes, but as my niece you'll also shadow me on some days, and learn the trade in it's entirety. But this is where it's at! These guys make my business."
