Link hadn't thought he'd encounter the sorcerer nearly as much as he did, but he did suspect he'd see them again. It started off slow at first, only appearing every now and then, until it eventually became a daily occurrence.
Their next encounter took place weeks after their initial meeting when Link risked a visit to the Sacred Grounds Ruins, located across Hyrule Castle. The trip was dangerous with so many Guardians crawling around, but he had to follow the images left for him by Princess Zelda on his Sheikah Slate — according to Impa, those images were a major key to regaining a decent portion of his lost memories, and he'd be damned if he didn't take advantage of it.
The moment he came to after recalling what had occurred there, his attention was quickly drawn to the pillar in front of him to the left, where a somewhat familiar billowing cloaked figure sat, legs crossed in a casual, comfortable manner.
"We meet again," he greeted plainly.
"So it would seem," they replied. "It's been a while since we first met. Remember anything yet, amnesiac hero?"
Link frowned. "Yes, actually, a little bit."
The sorcerer perked up. "Lovely! Anything about me yet?" When his expression turned to that of shock, they cackled. "I'm joking. I was serious when I mentioned we'd never met before. I didn't have any interest in Calamity affairs until after the Calamity was upon us, unfortunately." Hopping down from their seat, their bare feet slapping against the stone ruins, they added, "Perhaps if I had, then no one would've died."
Link could just barely make out the smirk on their face beneath their hood, and his eyes narrowed. This sorcerer seems very... narcissistic. It was then he realized something. "I don't believe you've ever informed me of your name."
Their grin only grew. "Where are my manners? I'm known as Raven."
He frowned. "What, no fancy title for a sorcerer... or sorceress... such as yourself?"
They laughed. "Of course I have a title, blondie. You currently don't need to worry yourself over knowing it, though."
He tilted his head to one side. "Why do you insist on remaining so anonymous?"
"It keeps things interesting, doesn't it?"
"That's one way to put it," Link grumbled.
Raven's grin turned into a scowl. "Watch yourself, Champion. You'd be wise not to forget who you're speaking to."
He rolled his eyes, but he knew well enough to acknowledge his rudeness with a formal bow. "You've given me no reason to do so, but I realize my language then was quite rude. My apologies, Raven."
Raven chuckled. "You're quite strange, but I find it amusing. I suggest leaving this area sooner rather than later, though, before a Guardian decides you should be eradicated. I'll come to see you again soon."
Before Link could say, "Wait!" they'd already snapped their fingers and vanished. Soon after, he caught sight of a Guardian in the distance beginning to head his way and sharply turned on his heel before it could notice him, calling for his horse so he could get the hell out of there and continue his search for more of his photographed memories; given no spare time to spend on any more thoughts of the mysterious sorcerer.
