((George's POV:: and for the sake of the story, he's not colorblind :]  ))

Today was very sunny! Maybe a few clouds here and there, but the spring sun was shining and bringing all the bright colors out. I happened to have a few plans today, one being to just relax and enjoy the nice weather but two being visit my friend Clay. We were going to go hang out today, adventuring the town around us and maybe visiting a coffee shop. Who knows, maybe we'll go somewhere romantic, like the park around the evening to watch the sun go down. Maybe at the park, we'll come too close to one another, Clay will lean in and...

NO, stop! He's a friend not a boyfriend.

I blush at my thoughts and rub my eyes, the sun coming through my curtains blinding me. I was still sat in bed, it was Saturday and I was sleeping in, relishing the weekend. I look over to my phone which laid on my nightstand, quickly seeing I had several notifications. I didn't mind seeing many notifications, like it doesn't give me any anxiety or anything. But when I saw that all of the notifications were messages, I hastily grabbed my phone and unlocked it to bring up who the messages were from.

Clay.

Of course Clay was messaging me, he probably wanted some clarification of what we were going to do today. Instead of looking at the messages, I just called him. The phone rang and buzzed for about two seconds before being immediately answered, "George! Hello! Did you get my texts?" Clay expeditiously said, it sounded like he was on his computer, possibly working.

"Uh, yeah I did. I didn't look at them though." I admitted, shaking my head. Hopefully its nothing too important, I think while waiting for Clay to respond, in which he did a few seconds later.

"Oh, well technically I was just saying I want you to meet me at the coffee shop that we always meet at. I have a pleasant surprise that I think you'll like." Clay spoke with a happy tone; you could almost hear his contagious smile through the phone. I think back to the coffee shop, we haven't met there in a while but it might be nice to get a nice iced coffee for the hopefully warm day there was to come.

I nod, forgetting that Clay can't even see me, "Sounds good! What time?" I hear some more tapping of a keyboard on the other side of the phone and then Clay clear his throat a little bit before he answered.

"How does 5pm sound?"

"Perfect! I'll see you then." I secretly felt like I could have asked to see him earlier but I didn't want to sound clingy.

"Okay! Bye!" Clay cheerily says before ending the call. I already miss his voice even though it's only been two seconds since he ended the call.

I get up from my bed, which I was still sat in, and began looking for some good clothes to wear. I dig through my drawers, finally choosing a light blue sweater with a small rainbow on the right corner and a pair of light wash jeans. I slip on the clothes and walk out of my bedroom, around the corner, and into my bathroom. I comb through my hair with my fingers, not really caring about it too much, then wash my face quickly.

I don't know why I'm in such a rush to get ready, as it's only noon, but I was just too excited to care. Once I was done in the bathroom, the kitchen and some breakfast is the next thing on the agenda. So, I open my fridge and pull out some eggs.

The scrambled eggs I ended up making, filled up my stomach and I was, just in general, very happy today. I was feeling productive and I was going to see Clay today. What could go wrong?

The rest of the time being, passes with ease as I just sit on my phone and laptop for most of it. Skimming through social media and chilling on Netflix. I was currently watching a movie about some dog whose owner died, can't lie, I did cry. Just as the sad movie ended, my phone buzzed with an alert. It was the alert that I set so that I wouldn't forget to get ready before meeting up with Clay. Not like I could forget.
