George stood outside, back out on the balcony. Even if he couldn't see all the delightful colors of a sunset, he still loved to watch how the sun's exposure would blend away into the navy black sky which soon twinkled with millions of little flickering lights. Currently, the sun rested just above the trees on the horizon and shone directly on his cheeks, keeping him warm for the meantime.

Now, you're probably wondering. Why is he outside? Shouldn't he be talking to Dream about their feelings? Shouldn't they be devising a plan? Well, as much as George wanted to, he couldn't force himself to spit out his thoughts and emotions. He always has had an issue with that, always keeping everything in. So, no. He didn't plan on talking anything out for the time being.

George inhaled the brisk air, feeling goosebumps already litter his arms. Maybe I should just go inside and talk to Dream... But what if he doesn't think it will work... George just couldn't motivate himself to do it. The sun was barely touching the horizon now, being lightly covered by the trees too. "Ugh, why do I have to be like this?!" he whined, rubbing a hand down his face.

"Be like what?" a voice spoke from behind him. He turned around and as expected it was Dream. His blonde hair reflecting and golden hour sun and the bridge of his nose turning a light shade of pink from the bitter wind.

George looked him up and down before returning to his original position at the railing. He glared at the sun as if hoping he could just disintegrate right then and there. Dream came to his side and looked out into the distance with him.

"Are you mad at me?" Dream asked quietly, not wanting to disturb the natural silence, the only sound being the wind pushing a flag at the bottom floor around. George kept staring off in the direction of the setting sun. Was he mad at Dream? No, he was just nervous, anxious even. He just needed time to think.

"Why would I be mad at you?" George barely glanced up at Dream before looking back down at the trees below. Dream shrugged and strained his neck side to side to crack it.

"You just seem upset. You haven't talked much since this morning. I'm just double checking." Dream stated and leaned onto the railing with his elbows. He seemed just as worried as George was. Scared they ruined something rather than joyful that they may have started something.

"I'm not upset, just... thinking about... us." He said hesitantly, fidgeting with the sleeve of his hoodie. Dream turned and faced him, clearly wanting more elaboration. "Like, how we've been so- how do I put this... So affectionate towards each other." Dream nodded and thought for a second before speaking.

"Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I've been thinking about it a lot too. I know we both want something. We just don't know how to make it work." And just like that Dream had read George's mind. Interpreting the same exact thoughts as him and putting it into words. George immediately nodded and even giggled a little. "What?" Dream asked smiling over in George's direction.

"Nothing... You just put all my thoughts into a sentence. Like, perfectly." George laughed and leaned closer to Dream. The blonde closed the inch gap between them and wrapped his arm caringly around George.

They stood like that for a while, watching as the sun finally ducked underneath the trees and disappeared. Sadly, a slight overcast covered the stars, only allowing the moon light to peek through in certain parts. Dream kept them close, obvious he was cold as he was in just a long sleeved shirt unlike George who had a hoodie. It was quiet until Dream spoke up.

"George?" He let go of the brunette barely, so that he could turn and face him. George looked content and happy where he was, in Dream's arms. That made Dream smile.

"Yeah?"

"Can I-" he stopped midway and rubbed the back of his neck, "Know what? Nevermind, I uh, I don't want to push my luck." He squeezed George back in his arms and faced away into the cloudy night.

George's smile dropped a little, but he kept his gaze on Dream. He couldn't help but admire his friend more than one. As his eyes loomed over Dream's rosy cheeks, he knew he couldn't stop himself. He leaned in a little closer and placed a small, quick, surprise kiss onto Dream's freckled face. When he returned to his place at Dream's side, he watched as the blonde smiled and faced him. His blue-green eyes gleaming with bliss and joy.

In unison they both leaned in and passionately kissed each other. It wasn't long, in fact it was very brief. Both nervous of messing something up. As they separated they found one another with a huge smile. They let out a light laugh before George cuddled up at Dream's side again.

"Maybe we can make something work." George giggled quietly and Dream also chuckled lightly at the comment.

Oof okay this one is really short. Anyway!

I like how this little series ended, short and sweet. The end's a little awkwardly placed, but oh well.

Won't be anything new for a couple days (kinda like normal, but we are gonna just ignore that) so hopefully with that short break I can gather some inspiration. Maybe even do the horror type thing??..??

I don't know exactly, but thanks for reading these sucky one shots! See ya next time!!!! Byee <33
