As soon as I stepped off the airplane, I quickly figured out that the heat wasn't going to be the only thing bringing red to my face.

I wandered about the airport, wiping beads of sweat off my forehead, trying to find my way to the baggage reclaim. There was a moment where I'm stuck in the middle of a large crowd of busy people, parents grabbing their children, and friends on phone calls. All I could do was keep pushing through and casually glancing up at the blue signs hanging from the ceilings. Finally, after what feels like ages of sweating buckets of salty liquid and pushing through annoyed or excited people, I'm at the baggage reclaim. Now I have to sit and wait for my luggage to go around the loop full of other near matching bags. God, do I hate airports.

I watch the large luggage case fall from the shoot and swing around the loop a lap before I reach in and grab it. It's cold to the touch which is rather refreshing since I'm nearly dying of heat stroke. I pull out the telescopic handle and take in one last inhale, preparing myself to push through the crowds of people. But wait! Where am I even going? Yeah, I had plans to meet Dream in the pickup lanes outside, but where in the world is that? For goodness sakes, I don't even know any places in Florida. I pull out my phone, which is as hot as a sandy beach on a midsummer day, and click on the preset contact. It rings, but you can barely hear the little noise over the loud talk of surrounding people. As my phone rings away, I stand awkwardly off to the side near the bathrooms, shifting back and forth as the fabric of my shirt begins to stick to my sides.

"Hello?" A muffled voice comes through the phone. I hastily raise the phone to my ear, "Hey George! Where are you at? I've been here for almost an hour already." I curse myself for my poor timing skills.

"Sorry, the airport is super busy and hot. I wouldn't be too surprised if I've passed out a couple times." I reply and scan over the crowds, looking for the exit doors or signs that lead to the exit doors.

"Oh come on, the heat isn't that bad." Dream jokes back. I lean back onto the wall and close my eyes, a sudden tiredness seeping over me. The jetlag must be finally hitting me with the addition of heat.

"It is when you're running off airport food and less than four hours of sleep." I feel slightly bad for snapping at him, but I hear him laugh on the other side of the phone. "Stop laughing at me and help get me out of this humid social environment." I laugh this time, though it's very weak.

"Fine," he sighs, "I'll help." I roll my eyes to pretty much no one except myself. Time to push through this awful crowd once again.

After a bit of poor communication over the phone, I see it! I see the exit! I can see the palm trees waving in the wind and cars parked on the side of the road waiting for friends or family to come out of the large building. I let out a long exhale (which earns a dirty remark from Dream that I have to force myself to ignore) and push through one last family. My hands touch the door and I instantly regret getting my hopes up. It's burning to the touch, meaning the outside is way worse than in here. Glancing out at the palm trees and trash that were blowing around in the wind, you would think that it would be cooler, right? Wrong. The humidity must ruin everything. I push open the door and a huge wave of heat washes over me like a heater in a living room.

"I'm outside now." I inform Dream, "Why didn't you tell me that the humidity was this bad?"

"Well, I did tell you, but you were all like, 'Oh I'll be fine' so I told you, 'Alright! You do you!'" He laughs over the phone and I can hear his car rev down and turn off. His air conditioner turns off as well, only making me feel more sticky with sweat.

"Whatever... Where are you at, Dream?" I continue to scan through each car near me, over and over again. I know what Dream looks like. We've had many facetime calls, however the media doesn't know this, yet I fail to find him. I walk around aimlessly, the wheels on my luggage click with every divot in the sidewalk. "Dream? Hello?" I lift my phone from my face and I can feel it unstick as I do so, "Hello?"

Suddenly the phone beeps and I watch the call end. "Ugh really? Why can't he just pick me up like any other human being?" I look around, turning back and forth, searching the crowds of people for a tall blonde dude. How have I not found him yet? He literally is the most noticeable person I know. So, I decide to try and call him again, but there's no answer. I roll my eyes and turn around once more while walking.

Undoubtedly enough, I ran into someone. I stood up quickly, noticing immediately that the person I ran into didn't fall down like me. I dust off my pants and pick up my luggage, barely glancing at the guy right in front of me. "Sorry, I didn't mean to flat out run into you." I stare at the ground and rub my neck from embarrassment (instantly regretting that as I feel the sweat layered on my neck).

"George?" the man laughs out. I finally took my chance to look the guy up and down, instantly feeling as dumb as a person can. My face must be red as the guy continues to laugh.

"Dream?" I question back trying to recollect myself as best as I mentally can. Before I can, I'm engulfed by large arms and a tall body. I flinch at the sudden touch, feeling so unbearably flustered. However, as the hug continued, I relaxed. My hands stopped shaking and my nervous strings loosened. My heart, in fact, didn't slow and the heat in my face didn't go away. But I felt safe and comfortable.

"You don't even know how long I've been waiting for this." Dream's voice is softer than a second ago and hushed as if he were talking to a baby. Even in it's quiet tone, it's loud in my ear and head. When I thought my face was cooling, he brought the heat back up.

I nod, "I know."
