George's eyes fluttered open from a deep sleep. He was on the couch, facing the TV that rested on the wall, and was alone from what he could tell. Looking around, the late autumn sun shone through the sliding door, peeking around the off white curtains, and the room was lit naturally with morning sun. He smiled and looked away from the door then sat up from his lying position.

Last night was probably the most peace he's had in a very, very long time. For the last year or so, he's not only started college but has also found himself transferring over to Europe as well. The opportunity was too great to pass up. He would graduate from this college and get a good job, his parents would be proud and his friends... Well, that's kind of the hard part. He had to leave all his friends in the US. As much as he wanted to stay with Dream, Sapnap, Quackity, and everyone else, family and education came first.

Upon sitting up, he glanced behind him into the kitchen which was separated from the living room by a counter. Dream was in there making what looked to be omelettes and sausage links. His blonde hair looked messy from sleep and he was still in his clothes from last night. Again, George smiled.

They had fallen asleep on the couch after their moment outside.

"You're more than welcome to stay the night." Dream offered, sliding the door out to the balcony, closed. He turned to George, waiting for an answer. It was already late out, maybe nearing 11pm. George nodded and walked over to the couch.

"Okay, I'll take the couch then." He plopped himself down and chuckled. The couch was quite comfy and much warmer than outside. Dream smiled and joined him on the couch, sitting down with the same laziness as George.

"Are you wanting a blanket or something? I have pillows too." He had a big smile on his face, as if he were a little boy having a sleepover with his best friend. Well, it is that, except he isn't a little boy. George nodded and Dream immediately got up and walked down the hall to probably his bedroom. While George waited for Dream to come back, he grabbed the TV remote, turned on the TV, and began to cycle through the movies and shows.

When Dream came back with a blanket, they both ended up agreeing on 'Suicide Squad' which was very comical and ended with them both laughing over the dirty jokes and grusome humor. As the movie progressed, they inched closer and closer, soon Dream was laid back and George was resting on his chest comfortably. George's breathing was slow and even, matching Dream's. The blonde would find himself jerking his eyes open from sleep, not wanting the moment to end. Even after the movie's credits rolled, they both refused to get up, willingly relaxing under the shared blanket. But eventually, they both fell asleep.

——————————————

George snapped himself out of his memory and got up from the couch to see what Dream was doing now as the sizzling had gone quiet.

"Good morning, sleep well?" Dream turned around from the counter and faced George openly, a warm smile on his face as he turned back and grabbed two plates, one in each hand. George nodded and had a bashful smile on his own face. "Here, I made us some breakfast." He placed one of the plates on the counter nearest to George then gestured at the stools to sit.

"Thanks," George sat down on the stool and began eating away at the omelet and two sausage links. Dream joined him, sitting on the second stool to his left. The breakfast was quite quiet, but it was nice.

It was something George missed about having Dream with or near him. With him being alone in Europe, he never really met anyone new that he trusted or could spend quality time with. Being back in America and seeing all of his friends again, made him miss it ten times more. Just seeing Dream made him feel better, the blonde was always so good about making sure you're comfortable and not neglected. Relaxed and not stressed. Loved and not hated. He made George feel whole.
