Big ol' macho man

I groan as my eyes flicker open, the light hurting my eyes. Moving my hand to rub my eyes, I realize I've been tied to a chair.

"Son of a bitch" I mumble trying to get my hands free

"Oh, good." A voice says in the corner. An all too familiar voice

"Oh my god. Seriously? It's you?" I say, turning my head and squinting through the bright lights to see my dad step out of the shadows. "Lurking in the shadows, watching me sleep? That's a whole new low for even you sir and that's saying a lot considering you pulled the "went out for a pack of cigs and never came back" shit"

"Rebecca you must understand something" He says, walking in front of me with his hands clasped behind his back "You were meant for something more. You were meant to take my place when this is all over."

"When what is all over?"

Instead of answering he stops walking and stands in front of me. Calmly scanning me. Cold, and calculating.

"I see your sweet powerpuff vibes never left" I snark. I certainly don't expect the stinging that hits my cheek a minute later.

"Wow pops" I say, resting my cheek on my shoulder for a second "That actually almost hurt. Would you like to try again?" I say, flashing him a smile

"You never did know how to stop talking" he sighs out

"Well, what can I say, I take after my dad that way"

"look, I'm not here to hurt you. I chose you for this after all"

"Chose me for what?" I spit

"The S.P.I.D.E.R program" he says simply like it explains everything

"Ah yes. The spider program, where you let the itsy bitsy spider crawl up the water spout and fall back down after pouring water over it, and letting it think it's rain."

"What does that even mean?" He asks, his pacing ceasing

"I do not know your majesty, what does this all really mean?" I ask raising an eyebrow and tipping my head down

"Becca, let me make this simple for you. You will partake in this program whether you would like to or not. If you don't that's okay, we can force you. If you do, life will be much easier."

"Bring it on bitch" I say, he gives me a smile and walks to the door and opens its heavy frame.

"Don't ever say I didn't warn you"

"Awww, daaaaaddd is that a hint of love that I hear in your voice?" I say smiling sarcastically. He smiles back at me annoyed, and walks out. Letting the door slam behind him.

I look around the room, finding none of the Avengers there. Damn it. Which means, that if I even found a way to get out of here, I would have to find a way to get to them also. Better than dying...I think. I don't have much experience in that area.

Before I can make a move to do anything, a man walks in with a rolling table. Filled with all kinds of tools. Some sharp, some blunt.

"I'm sorry, I wouldn't have eaten that candy before if I knew I was going to have a dentist visit today" I say, but the man says nothing

"We're going to start easy alright, but then I'm gonna get harder on you until you comply."

"Uh no thanks, I've seen this movie before. I know how it ends." I say wingling in my chair, trying and failing to get away from him.
