-Floris's POV-

I opened my eyes, only to be met with bright sunlight practically blinding me. I immediately tried to get up, only to be held back down against the floor. "Stop moving muffin, you need rest." Darryl said. As I looked around I realized I was in the hospital. "What about the scientists?" I asked, but Darryl just looked at me strangely. What were those scientists looking for? It couldn't have been me... Right?

Then I remembered. The school... I need to get back there fast. When Darryl turned away from me, I quickly got up, which was a mistake as pain filled my leg. The only other two people in the room were Clay and Jude, they were both asleep in the same bed. Since Zak isn't in here, he's probably awake. I tried standing again, leaning against the wall. Darryl was sorting through medical supplies, so while he did that, I snuck out of the room as the door was already opened. I looked down the hallway, wondering where everyone went.

They can't be at the school, right? I watched as Nick and Zak walked out of a nearby room, noticing me. "Uh oh..." I muttered as they looked confused as to why I was up. I turned around only to be met with Darryl, who looked very angry. I needed to get to the school, but how? I think I might know. "Will, Dave, Arran, and Tommy are at the school."

"If you don't believe me, Nick found me outside last night." I said, hoping to get to the school as fast as possible to go check on everyone there. "I know that you muffin." Darryl replied. "So, can we go?..." I said in a cheerful tone. "You shouldn't be going there. You should be laying down. You're sick and injured." Sick?... I'm not sick... Right?... I lifted my hand to my head and sure enough, I was burning up. I didn't feel sick though. "Well I'm going whether you like it or not!" I turned around and used the wall to hold my weight as I passed by Nick, Darryl, and Zak, who looked confused as to why I wanted to leave.

I got a little further down the hall, not long before Nick stood in front of me, blocking my path. "You shouldn't go Floris. I agree with Darryl-" I quickly cut him off. "George is also there." I said, smiling. "Ok, let's go." Nick immediately began helping me towards the exit. "WAIT!" Darryl yelled running up to us. "Fine, we can go, but we can't just leave Clay and Jude here. George is also at Jacobs grave and Toby's... I don't know where he is actually"

"Yes!" I celebrated, but I stopped myself from cheering as I had another question. "Is my leg broken?" Darryl shook his head. "It's badly sprained. I suggest when we get to the school you don't walk for at least a week." I sighed. "Fine, fine. Oh, what about the zombies?" I questioned not wanting to get caught up in a similar situation as I did last night. "I have a feeling there will be less of them since it's morning. We should be fine if we're walking on the path." Nick spoke. My head began hurting a little, as my body slowly began feeling weak again. I sat down against the wall. "Floris, are you ok?" I nodded. "Yeah, just... Just let me know when we're leaving. I'll be waiting here."

Everyone soon departed until I was the only one left in the hall way. I leaned my head against the wall as I felt a little dizzy. My body was sore and the scratches on my hands and paws itched, the worst of it all was my leg though, it hurt even while it was resting against the ground. I was also thirsty and hungry, which didn't bother me as much. What I saw yesterday found it's way back into my brain. What were those scientists doing? Who were they looking for? I doubt they were looking for me. Or maybe, they were looking for someone like me... The government probably wanted to capture a "specimen" to do tests on or something similar.

My eyes closed, hoping everybody at the school was alright. "Floris?..." I opened my eyes, seeing Toby. I was happy hearing his voice again. "Yeah? What is it?" I asked him calmly. "I thought you were sleeping... Oh, and... Is Tommy really alive?" I nodded. "Yes he is. I promise that he's alright." I really hope they're alright at the school, I don't want to break his heart... Toby smiled. "How are you doing? Nick brought you back here really late last night."
