-Zak's POV-
We headed downstairs and I sat him down on the couch as I sat beside him. Darryl was slumped over, looking a bit nervous. "Hey, it will be ok Darryl. Also ... I have a question ..." He looked at me. "Yes Zak? What is it?" He said curious to know. "When you were with Jacob while George and I were downstairs, what'd you guys talk about? Because I know it wasn't just about what Jacob said, there has to be more to it." A slight blush appeared on Darryl's face which rose my curiosity once more. "Soooo? ..." I dragged out my word waiting for a responce.
"I'd rather not tell you yet." I nodded, slightly annoyed from having to wait longer. Then, George came into view with bandages and something else. "Hey Darryl, normally your wounds would have to be stitched but we don't have the right equipment. So we're just going to clean and bandage them for now until we can find some." We both nodded. "Here, let's do your arm first." George walked over to Darryl and put his arm on the arm rest. "This might hurt a little." Darryl nodded as George pulled out a strange cotton thing and poured some of the liquid onto it.
Then Darryl lifted up his sleeve as he took in a deep breath. I watched as George began cleaning Darryl's wound causing him to flinch as I watched as tears flowed down his face. I worriedly grabbed his hand, hoping it would comfort him a little. Then he suddenly pulled his arm away from George. "I-I'm sorry..." Darryl muttered. I heard a sigh come from George. "Let's at least bandage it up for now, we can continue cleaning it later." Darryl nodded and let George bandage up his wound.
Then Darryl pulled up his pant leg. "Darryl, we have to clean this one at least a little." George spoke. I then noticed that Darryl had a glint of fear in his eye. "F-Fine ..." Darryl spoke in shakily. Then George covered a cotton ball in that liquid again. Now I'm beginning to think it might be rubbing alcohol. Then, without warning, George pressed the cotton ball against Darryl's leg as he let out a quiet yell.
After a few more minutes of George cleaning it he began bandaging it as Darryl let out a sigh of relief. I was still confused as to how he didn't cry before hand, because I definitely would have -... Probably not, but I might have. Once George was done, we looked at each other confused as to what we should do next. "We really need a plan." George spoke, most likely thinking about a plan. "How low are we on food?" I asked. George began heading over to the kitchen. "We don't have much!" He yelled, although he comfortable be yelling during this robot-apocalypse thing.
That means we'd probably have to go out looking for food eventually. People have probably already taken most of it as they've probably gotten away from here, unless they're all dead ... "Hey Zak, you can l-let go of my hand now ..." I pulled my hand away . "S-sorry." I muttered as I continued to think about what's going to happen next until I heard yelling from upstairs. What could it be this time ?! Then I watched as Jacob and Spark ran towards us. "YOU GUYS ARE GONNA WANT TO SEE THIS !!!" He yelled panicked. Darryl and I looked at one-another not long before we followed Jacob and Spark upstairs with George following behind us.
He ran over to the window in his bedroom as I looked out it. I then watched as a robot had some person dangling in the air as they took them towards a large group of robots in the air. "What do you think they're doing?" I asked. "They're taking it to ... Oh yeah ..." Darryl muttered. "I told George about it already." Then George looked like he understood what we were talking about. "Can you explain to me what you're talking about?" Jacob said confused. I sighed. "It's my fault the robot apocalypse started."
"No Zak, it wasn't your fault." Darryl spoke. I turned to face him with a more serious expression on my face. "If I had visited you, this wouldn't have happened!" I exclaimed. "No Zak, if I never lived there, it wouldn't have happened!" If he didn't live? ... Ugh. "Darryl, no, it was my fault and that's final." I spoke in a serious tone. He sighed knowing he won't change my mind. I focused my attention back on the window as more people kept getting lifted into the air. It might be a little bit harder to scavenge then I originally thought.
