BBBI Ch 4
Lilliana's POV
When the last bell of the day rings, I go to my locker and grab my backpack before heading out to my car. I put my bag in the back seat and head home.
When I park my car in the driveway, I unlock the door to my house and head inside. I go to the kitchen and look for something to eat. I settle on a banana and some crackers before starting up the stairs to my room. I put my music on and lounge in a chair as I eat my after school snack.

Garrett comes home about an hour later, followed by my mom not long after. I grab my backpack and pull out all the syllabi I got from my teachers. I prance down the stairs and give my mom a hug.
“Can you please sign these for me?” I say, handing her the papers.
“Sure, Sweetie. Garrett, do you have any papers that I need to sign?” My mom says as she starts looking over each syllabus. I bet parents just love the night of the first day of school, so many papers for them to look over…
“Yeah, let me get them out of my bag.” Garrett starts looking around for his backpack.
“Right there,” I point to the ground, right near the door.
“Thanks, Sis.”
“You owe me money… Bro.”
“Lil, why does Garrett owe you money?” Mom intervenes.
“Well this dorko,” I point to my brother, “forgot his wallet at home, again, so I had to give him money for lunch.”
“How did you pay for breakfast?” She asks him.
“Sam lent me some money…” Garrett says sheepishly. He’s had to borrow money from his more responsible friend multiple times before.
