<<<<<Lana's POV>>>>>

At Mairlton High, 9th grade and under have three classes, lunch, and then four other classes. 10th grade and up have four classes, lunch, and then three other classes. At the current time, I'm walking to the cafeteria with my friends holding my lunch box in my hand.

We reach the cafeteria and sit at our usual table. When I'm done eating, I decide to use the restroom. "I'm going to the bathroom." I say as I get up. My friends nod and continue to talk amongst themselves.

When I'm about fifteen feet away from the restrooms, I notice Luke Collins standing by himself looking through the class pictures of alumni. Luke is new, yet not new at the same time. He came to Mairlton halfway through 10th grade. He is one of the "popular" kids, even though our school really isn't that cliché. He is also very attractive with black-brown hair and blue-grey eyes.

I'm surprised he isn't with his friends. As I'm about to pass him, he turns his head and sees me. I see a small smile form on his lips before he turns back to the pictures.

When I'm finished in the restroom, I see Luke left his place at the rack of previous class pictures. I go back to the cafeteria and my friends are just getting ready to leave.

I join up with them and we go to the library. Mairlton High's librarian, Mrs. Kramer, isn't as strict as some librarians. She allows people to hang out as long as they aren't being too loud or disruptive to others, and if they aren't vandalizing anything that isn't their own.

When the bell that signals lunch is over rings, we all go to our lockers and then to our fifth period class. Seventh period is the last class of the day and I have government. Rain is in the same class, so we always walk with each other to and from.

When the end of the day bell rings, Rain and I leave the class together. I drop Loraine off at her locker and head to mine. Rain, Lucy, and Leah all meet up at my locker and we all leave in our own vehicles.

I drive my truck straight to Rain's house. She lives in the country. When I get there, Rain and Leah are already there. Leah tells us, "Lucy had to drop Kieran off at her house." Kieran is Lucy's 14 year old brother who is in 8th grade.

We all go inside and lounge in the living room. Ten minutes later Lucy shows up. "Hey! Sorry I'm late!" We all greet her and tell her it's fine. "I can't wait till we graduate next year," Lucy shakes her head then mumbles, "then I won't have to drive Keiran. I should just make him ride the bus."

"Come join us!" I say. Lucy sits in one of the gray lounge chairs.

"Rain, did you say earlier that you got new neighbors, but haven't met them yet?" Lucy asks.

"Yeah," Rain says with a nod of her head, "why?"

"You'll never guess who I saw going into the house," responds Lucy. We all give her questioning looks until she answers, "Luke Collins, Corey Fletcher, and Marcus Jones!"

"Are you serious!?!?" I say.

"Yeah, I know." Lucy says in amazement. "One of them must be your new neighbors, Rain!"

"You get to live next to one of the three hottest guys at our school!!" exclaims Leah.

"Actually Joey is!" Rain says.

"You say that because he's your boyfriend." Leah replies back.

"The three are very attractive, but I prefer Joseph." Rain says honestly.

"Aww!! You and Joey are like perfect for each other!" I say.

Rain smiles and gets up, "I'm making popcorn, raise your hand if you want some."

"What are you, a teacher?" I joke as all of us raise our hand. Rain just sticks her tongue out at me and goes to make the popcorn.
