<<<<<Lana's POV>>>>>
After eating our popcorn, we all decided to change into comfier clothing, and at about 5:30 Rain's boyfriend Joey and his friends Kyle and Gabe came over. Then we started the bonfire.
It's now six and we're all roasting hot dogs over the fire. As everyone is eating and talking around the fire, we hear a noise and look over to one of the fields. There are three quads. Soon they are close enough to see that it is three boys. They ride to the edge of the field, stop, get off the quads, take their helmets off, and just as I suspected, it's the three hottest boys in our school. (Joey, Kyle, and Gabe are attractive too, just not as much as these boys. Just my opinion.)
Luke Collins, Marcus Jones, and Corey Fletcher start walking towards us. I look around and all my friends are sitting still like rocks and have their mouths open, the girls have their mouths open anyway. I clear my throat, just loud enough for the girls to hear, and they all snap out of it.
"Hello," says Luke with a warm smile once they are closer to us. We all wave. "We were driving around on our quads and saw a bonfire..."
"Thought we'd check it out," Corey adds on. "You all go to Mairlton High School, right?"
"Yup." Says Leah while popping the 'p'.
"Mind if we join you?" Marcus asks.
"No, no, go ahead!" Rain says. "Let me go get more chairs." With that Rain quickly goes to the shed and Joey follows.
"Are you the one I saw in the hall during lunch today?" Luke sits right next to me in Rain's abandoned chair.
"Yeah. Luke, right?" I say.
"Yeah, what's your name?" He asks me. "I don't believe we have ever formally met."
"Lana." I say. Luke nods and smiles. Just then, Rain and Joey come back with three more chairs. The three newcomers share their names with everyone, oblivious to the fact we already know their names. Then the rest of us introduce ourselves and the three get food for themselves.
Loraine brought out her iHome and we started playing music on Pandora with her phone. Luke was still sitting next to me when he finished eating. "So, pretty lady," I blushed at that, "please tell me about yourself."
"What do you want me to tell you?"
"Let's start with full name, birthday, and favorite color? I'll tell you about me when you're done."
"Okay, my name is Lana Marie Douglas. My birthday is April 7th, and I love the colors pink, teal, and coral, or light orange." I say with a smile.
"Happy belated birthday!"
"Thanks, now your turn!"
"My name is Luke Adam Collins. My birthday is February 18th and I love navy blue and red."
"Cool!" I say and Luke winks at me, which makes me laugh.
"Who wants a beer?" Rain asks. All the guys but Gabe have one, Rain has one, and I have one. Aleah and Lucy sit out with Gabe. We each only have one can though because we're all underage and we got it from Rain's dad's cooler in the garage.
"We should play a game!" I say.
"Truth or Dare!" says one of the guys. We all agree. The one who suggested it was Marcus and he went first. "Lucy, truth or dare?"
"Dare."
"I dare you to-" he pauses to think and his face lights up," I dare you to come sit next to me." Oooh- he totally likes her.
"Okay, that's not bad at all." She picks up her chair, from where it was on the opposite side of the fire from Marcus, and moves to sit right next to him. Once she settles in her new spot, she continues the game, "Gabe, truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Have you ever skipped school?"
"Yeah," Gabe says, "a couple times." He then looks around the circle to spot out his victim in the game of 'Truth or Dare' when his gaze lands on Luke. "Luke, truth or dare?"
"Hmmm.... Truth."
"Have you ever been suspended from school? If so, why and how long?"
"Yeah, one time I glued all of a teacher's stuff to their desk and skipped the two detentions I was supposed to go to. I was suspended for a week." He smiles. "Lana, truth or dare?"
"Dare." I smirk.
"I dare you to go on a date with me."
"Wh-what?" I stutter and everyone laughs. I send them an annoyed, angry glare and they shut up.
"I dare you to go on a date with me." Luke states matter-of-factly. I knew what he said, I was just surprised. This means he likes me, right?
"O-okay," I reply without showing too much emotion. I'm glad it's already getting dark, so no one sees me slightly blushing. I'm now nervous and excited. Luke smirks at me and the game continues for a little while before we all make s'mores and just talk and hang out. Marcus even asked Lucy to go on a date with him! She said okay too.
The boys all leave at about 10. Joey was going to drop off Luke, Marcus, and Corey at Luke's house. Luke is the one who happens to be Rain's new "neighbor" by small town, country living standards. Then they will come pick up their quads in the morning.
