You are in a deep sleep before you hear your name being called and your whole body shaking. You open your eyes and see your boyfriend Narancia bouncing in the bed next to you. You give him a quick glare before rolling over and pulling the covers over your head.
"Come on baby, get up" he shakes you with each word.
You throw the covers off of you "ugh what is it Nara!?"
He stops jumping and curls up next to you "well I was thinking since it was such a nice day out, maybe the two of us could go out for the day"
His smile was way too bright for how early it was but you roll your eyes and sit up.
"Okay, where are you taking me then?" You ask with an eyebrow raised.
He smiles once more and puts his index finger to your lips "it's a secret"
You toss yourself back onto the bed "god Narancia, you're such a child sometimes"
He climbs on top of you "yeah, but you love me" he gives you a quick peck on the cheek before hopping off the bed.
You lay in bed as your boyfriend rummages through your closet, searching for something specific.
"Found it!"
You perk up with Narancias words and sit up in bed. You look over to see him holding a pastel sundress with a huge smile on his face.
You roll your eyes "I buried that in my closet for a reason"
He hops over to the bed, dress still in hand, and plops down next to you "oh come on (Y/N)! It's one of my favorites"
You scrunch your face slightly before snatching the garment away from him "fine, but only cause you're being so cute today"
He gives you a smile before disappearing into the bathroom. You looked over the dress and started to wonder why he wanted you to dress so nice on a simple day out.
You threw on some makeup and fixed your hair into a simple bun while Nara was still nowhere to be seen. After spraying yourself with perfume, you finally catch a glimpse of your elusive partner. He opens the bathroom door and you jaw practically drops.
Your eyes widen as you fixate on his appearance, his normal straggly hair was now slicked back. You look over his outfit, a nice short sleeve button up casually tucked into some grey slacks.
"Whoa, what happened to you?"
He looks down then back at you "do you not like it?"
You give him a smile "no, I do, it's just I've never seen you so put together before"
Narancia seems to calm down a bit and give you a grin before wrapping his arm around your waist "I just want today to be extra special" he gives you a kiss.
The two of you head out into the center of Naples where Narancia has already set up reservations for a lunch date. The waiter shows you to your table on the outdoor patio and the two of you take your seats. Nara orders some water along with a nice bottle of wine.
You rest your chin In the palm of your hand "What's with all of this? I don't think the two of us have ever done anything this romantic before"
"I dunno, I just-" he grabs your hand "-I just wanted a nice day alone together, it's such a rare thing"
You squeeze his hand and give him a soft smile "I love you"
"I love you too"
The two of you order your food and cheers with a glass of wine before digging in. After eating way too much food, Narancia suggests the two of you head to the beach. He pays the check and grabs you by the hand before you head down towards the water.
The ocean breeze felt refreshing as you and Narancia stroll along the shoreline. The silence was comforting and the lack of beach goers only made the moment feel serene.
"(Y/N)?" Nara asks as he stops dead in his tracks.
You turn to face him "yes?"
He looked nervous, even more nervous then when he first asked you out almost 3 years prior. You watch in confusion then awe as Narancia kneels down on one knee and reaches into his pocket. You cover you mouth in shock as he pulls out a ring box and opens it to reveal a stunning Diamond ring.
"Will you marry me?" He asks anxiously
You nod your head with tears streaming down your face "yes yes yes!" You stretch out your hand, allowing him to slide the ring onto your finger.
"Oh my god, it's beautiful" you smile while admiring your ring.
Narancia pulls you in, pressing his body to yours as he places a soft kiss on your lips.
