Survival Test: Pass or Fail

Raiden was awake at 4:30 the morning of the survival test and checked to make sure he had everything he needed.

'Kunai? Check. Shuriken? Check. Sword? Check. Survival Pack? Check. Ok, it seems I've got everything.'

Raiden walked out of his room and down the hall, where he met Sasuke already waiting for him. Together they walked to the training ground, where they met up with a tired Sakura and a half-asleep Naruto.

~(3 Hours Later)~

When Kakashi finally arrived, Sakura and Naruto both screamed at him for being late. He then tried to use the lame excuse that a black cat had crossed his path. When he saw that none of his students believed him, he walked over to one of three wooden posts on the training ground and set down a clock.

"Ok, this clock is set for noon. (He pulls out three bells) Today's assignment is to take these bells away from me by noon. (He jingles the bells) Those who can't do it won't get lunch, and they'll be tied to that post, and I'll eat my lunch before your very eyes." Kakashi explained, and everyone's stomach grumbled.

'So that's why he didn't want us to eat. That sadistic mother fucker.' Raiden thought to himself.

"Hold on. Why are there only three bells?" Sakura asked

Kakashi eye smiled. "There are only three, so at the very least, one of you will have to be tied to the logs. That person will then be disqualified for failing the mission... and will return to the Academy."

Everyone got serious.

"It might be one person, or it might be all three of you. You can use anything you like. You won't be able to take the bells from me unless you come at me with the intent to kill me."

"But sir! That's dangerous!" Sakura yelled, and Naruto agreed with her.

"Those who are weak in this world tend to be the ones that complain the most, so ignore the loser. Now begin when I give the "ready-go" signal." Kakashi said, indicating Naruto when he said loser.

Naruto then suddenly charged at Kakashi with a kunai in his hand. But in an instant, Kakashi grabbed the hand with the kunai and appeared behind Naruto with the kunai pointed towards the base of his skull.

"Don't be so hasty. I didn't say start yet." Kakashi stated calmly while letting go of Naruto.

'He's so fast. I could barely keep up with him!' Raiden thought in shock.

"But it's fine. At least you came at me with the intent to kill me. I'm finally starting to like you guys. We're going to start. Ready.... start!"

As soon as he said to start, all four disappeared into the woods. Raiden sat in a tree and thought about what he should do.

'I have to get a bell off of him, but how? And something about this test feels wrong, but I can't put my finger on it. Either way, I can't underestimate him; remember what Yu-sensei taught you, never underestimate an opponent you know nothing about. The best option right now is to gather information.'

Just as Raiden finished his thought, Naruto appeared in front of Kakashi.

"Ok, you and me, sensei, let's face off fair and square!" Naruto yelled out.

'Naruto, you idiot, he's a jonin. You don't stand a chance against someone like him.' Raiden thought.

"Say, aren't you a bit off-kilter? Kakashi asked with a lazy expression.

"What's off-kilter is your hairstyle!" Naruto responded before charging at Kakashi.

Kakashi reached into his weapons pouch, causing Naruto to stop and back away.
