Chunin Exams Part 1

Team 7 stepped through the door, and immediately Sasuke was hit by a blonde blur that turned out to be Ino.

"Sasuke! Did you miss me?" Ino asked excitedly.

"Get off Sasuke-kun Ino-pig!" Sakura yelled.

Raiden just took a step away from them.

"Oh man, you guys are here too? Troublesome." Shikamaru said right behind Raiden, making him turn around with a slight smirk on his face.

"Hey Shika, well, it's good to see you haven't changed," Raiden said, making Shikamaru smirk back. They both fist-bumped, smirking at each other.

What many people didn't know was that Raiden and Shikamaru were actually good friends.

"Hey, looks like the entire Rookie 10 is back together," Kiba said from the doorway.

Raiden tuned out of the conversation as he noticed Temari sitting up at the back/top of the room and made eye contact with her, and both of them smiled at each other.

"Hey, you guys should keep it down; you're drawing a lot of attention." A random leaf ninja with white hair and glasses told the group as he came over to them.

"Who are you?" Sasuke asked.

"I'm Kabuto. I'm a veteran since I've taken the Chunin Exams 7 times." Kabuto said, making Raiden narrow his eyes in suspicion.

"7 times? Man, you must suck!" Kiba exclaimed.

"Or these tests are just that hard." Kabuto shot back. "Anyway, since I'm a veteran here, I've got info on every ninja here. Anybody, you want to know about?" He asked.

Sasuke stepped forward, "Rock Lee and Gaara of the Desert."

"Well, that's no fun. You know their names." Kabuto replied.

A fist then came flying at Kabuto, but he avoided it. Then all of a sudden, his glasses cracked, and he threw up on the floor.

"Put this in your cards; the Hidden Sound Village will win the Chunin Exams." Some random Sound genin said.

There was a swirl of leaves at the front of the room, and a very intimidating man with a trench coat and a bandana appeared. "There will be no fighting during this portion of the exams. Is that understood, Sound-nin!"

"Understood, sir," they responded.

"Now, everyone, come up and get your assigned seat. Once you get it, sit down and shut up."

Once Raiden sat down, he noticed that he was purposely spread out from his teammates. Luckily, he was right next to Shikamaru.

Once the test had started, Raiden flipped his paper over and looked at the questions.

'What is this? These questions are way too hard for genin. There is no way any genin would know this... Wait a second, that's it! That's why those rules seemed so weird! They want us to cheat!'

Raiden suddenly got an idea and started tapping his pencil on the desk. Now, to anyone else, this would just seem like a nervous kid tapping his pencil on the desk. However, Shikamaru knew that this was morse code.

"Shika, the point of this test is to cheat," Raiden said in morse code.

"I figured it was something like that. What should we do?" Shikamaru tapped back

"See the guy three seats down and one to the right?" Raiden tapped.

"Yeah," Shikamaru replied
